The room was cold. It had no heater. I was given a mobile heater which did not work well. I was given another duvet though, but that affected my comfort greatly

Comfy and clean, basic accommodations.

The room was appropriate for a single and bigger than the London singles I'm used to plus had a lift! The bathroom was fine. The on-site cafe was very pleasant. It was a short walk to local shopping and an easy ten minutes to the train station. The ruins of Swansea Castle and the pubs of Wind Street were very close by too!

I'd have loved a fridge and air conditioner, but a budget hotel can't always be expected to have these things. Depending on the weather, it might be more of an issue in the summer.

I was swapped room. More comfortable and no broken furniture and a netted curtain at the window. Best thing bed very comfy. Good location.

Had to ask about how to get in after cinema. No breakfast included. No netted curtain. Missing drawer in room. Rusty topped bin in bathroom. Bath mat had stains on it. Glad only stayed 1 night.

Convenient to town

They did not answer their emails from confirmation to add another bed on the 23rd may . Our stay was 19th July . We had to have 3 fans from reception as room was extremely hot they also have us three jugs of ivy to put in front of the fans , the radiator in the bathroom was on full heat , they told us to wet the towels and place over radiation , that became a steam room . Not one window could we open for an inch of fresh air as you can imagine the steam from the bathroom and heat came into our room , but our other party on the same second floor as us had two windows that would open . Getting ready was just uncomfortable as we were just sweating in the room . We had to leave our door open for landing cool air to come into our room so getting ready was just a nightmare . Very uncomfortable day and night .

Perfect for our needs for one night.

Within walking distance of the station, good for shops, restaurants etc. Friendly staff. Breakfast was brought early to our room at 7am.

The first room we were given was roasting hot because the heated towel rail was permanently on in mid-summer. But we were immediately moved into another nicer room with no questions by the lovely staff.

Family friendly, comfy bed and lovely staff

The location was great as we were attending an event at the arena, it was a 5 min walk. The carpark near Tesco was excellent too as it was a couple of mins walk and we stayed Friday to Sunday it was £9 to stay! The room itself was spacious, clean. We had hot drink facilities and house keeping came on our second day (2 night stay). Staff were friendly, hotel is in a great location for shops, arena and beach.

Just a few little things like stains on carpet, unable to open windows and it was extremely hot in the room. However, the staff were great we were given 2 fans and jugs of ice to help try and cool the room down. This didn’t spoil our stay, stains happen maybe need to invest in some aircon for the rooms that can’t have the windows open.

Underwhelming Stay at Dolphin SA1 hotel

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre.

My room wasn't cleaned after my first night and I had to demand a change of rooms. The bathtubs are not well cleaned and stains are evident. The hotel provides plastic tumblers which are of a low standard for the money you pay. The breakfast was quite disappointing with options only limited to toast and an underwhelming bacon roll. You can only get other breakfast options if you are paying yet I paid a significant amount for my stay there.

Limited options for breakfast. We paid for breakfast up front, but there was no option for cooked breakfast or Cereal and fresh fruit unless we paid more on top of the money we already paid for breakfast. This was also an hour late to arrive at our room, and no milk or juice arrived, which we requested on the breakfast tick sheet.

Deposit off a £100 just to stay

The hotel is dated but clean great location and the staff were brilliant 👏

Having to hand over £100 deposit incase we trashed the room my mum is 80 yrs old and not very mobile I'm 56 and knackered 😴 not necessary we didn't feel comfortable with this my mother worried all night she wouldn't get her pension money back as she needed it for bills this week this was a special occasion for my mam only to worry all night
