We had the balcony room & the view was lovely. The beds were very comfortable (even the lounge bed for the 3rd person was quite comfortable). The included breakfast was a nice bonus. Especially for the price, we were quite pleased.

This was my second stay in this hotel. The location is great. You can walk easily to major landmarks or even take a water taxi from right outside the hotel door. It's typical of a Venetian hotel - quaint with no lift, but staff will help with luggage (thankfully). The breakfast is in a courtyard at the back of the building and are self service, basic but just what you need for the day ahead of walking. If I come back to Venice, I'll probably stay here.

Property needs some TLC. There is a repulsive smell throughout the hallways of the hotel it was actually very bothersome especially going to breakfast when you have an appetite. The breakfast is very basic, not much options and don’t expect any table service. The coffee is terrible which is a disgrace for being in Italy. Will not ever come back and will definitely not recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel in the tourist heart of Venice. Great views of the canals and generously sized rooms. Breakfast included and was a great spread. Good air conditioning and mini bar available. Close to the heart of S Marco but far enough out of the way to avoid crowds and noise.

We stayed in a room with balcony view, I requested one of the rooms that had a better view and a specific room, unfortunately this request wasn’t looked into as I had no feedback on it. Was a good stay overall, very Venetian style, but very dated and old looking. Breakfast was good, it was a bonus since food there is not cheap especially with a family. You need to leave your keys back at the reception when going out daily which was a little inconvenient. Convenient location with most things in reach.

It is close to Saint Marco square and the shopping area. The room is spacious for four and the breakfast is very good. Taking the gandola is just few steps from the hotel. Overall it is very good for the price

The location and accessibility of this property is wonderful. Beautiful inner courtyard and lovely historic building. If an upgrade for canal view is offered, take it! Not sure I would take the recommended restaurant as it was very much touristy and we should have known better. The restaurant was friendly and decent, just very American centric and not what we were hoping for in a Venice dining experience. The breakfast was very delicious and we had to leave early on our departure date and the staff provided breakfast boxes to go. Very good experience at this hotel!

Incredible location and friendly staff. Views from canal side room amazing and courtyard and building old and interesting. Interior is faded splendour, classic and fitting for the area. Clean to the eye but we suffered awful bed bug bites on the occasional use beds. Breakfast very basic but fine. So many cafes nearby to eat at it’s not a problem.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable! The convenience to everything is oustanding. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you get the balcony room like we did with the view of the canal, then you’ve really hit the jackpot. Breakfast was good enough to get us started on our day. Note the hotel is not air conditioned. We didn’t mind enough to lower our rating.

The building is unique and charming and in a great central location in Venice and the staff were all friendly and helpful. There is a convenient dock for water taxis adjacent to the hotel entry but our arrival taxi was not aware (probably because we set it up instead of the hotel). We did depart from the dock when the hotel set it up, which was great. Our room had a cool little balcony hanging over the San Moisè canal and the bathroom shower ceiling was very tight for a 6’ 2” person. Also, be warned, the bed was hard and pillows are not 4 star quality. There is a beautiful little courtyard with an incredible grapevine growing in it as a canopy but it was way underutilized and sadly used for storage of dead equipment. The hotel listing claims a bar, which was never open or available so this is misleading as you cannot get a cocktail on premises. The morning breakfast was great as stated. Overall, a good stay for a couple days in a prime Venice location but the accommodations are not quite 4 star.

The hotel is good but they dont have AC and it was a hot night in april we have to open the windows and because is next to the canal alot of mosquitoes went inside the room for this reason we will not stay at the hotel again.

I truly enjoyed my stay here. The only reason for the 4 stars on facilities was the lack of outlets in the room. The front staff was very accommodating. The front staff confirmed the transportation to hotel by water taxi and scheduled for the early morning pick-up, and even provided a to-go bag with snacks due to the early pick-up. The daily breakfast was absolutely amazing and the hotel staff were so very kind. Don't get me wrong, this is not an updated hotel, it is very old. You get a single key (an actual key). The hotel to me however was amazing, Some may not like how old the rooms are with antiquated furniture as well as the decorations, but I am in Venice, I am not hanging out in my room all day. It has so much history you have to stop and appreciate it. Will I stay there again, yes, and I will request the same room with the balcony and listen to the gondoliers sing as they float past my room with wine in my hand.

It was ok, the person who checked us in was initially unpleasant, but improved. The iron gate to their breakfast area slams shut like a gunshot so don’t plan on sleeping in. Other guests were unnecessarily loud, but that seems to be an Italy thing. Location was very very nice. Overall, I would have liked an environment that was less loud for the price we were paying.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had the second best room in the place. The best one had a larger balcony for watching the non-stop show of gondoliers and singers below. The room was amazing with a huge Murano glass chandelier and beautiful furnishings. The hot breakfast was great with a chilled bottle of Prosecco for those who like to indulge. You could not ask for better hotel staff.

Our pre-booked room was not available so I took what I could get. Bad mistake. We are in our 70s and my wife has difficulty walking. We were not aware this room was at the top with no elevator. We climbed 50 stairsteps only to find when the door was opened there were 7 more steps inside the room. The bathroom was at the bottom of these stairs, the bed above. Mama mia. To use the fridge add 4 more. To top it off, the clerk changed to this room as a 'superior' upgrade. We did not leave the room except to check into our other room. It would have been too hard to climb back up. Definitely not a room for seniors.
