Several things described as “in-room” were actually in shared, common area. Very sparse bedroom with private bathroom. Kitchenette is actually microwave, small frig, and sink. No dishwasher, even though listed in amenities. Host requires shoes to be removed, but floors were not clean, dirty socks and/or feet. Little privacy. Would not recommend.

Room was nice, but the lady had some wild rules it felt like I was staying in my extremely conservative religious family’s house as a teenager again or something, eg: shoes go here, asking us to pick the hair out of the drain after showering, even telling us we had to flush our “discharge” before flushing the toilet paper, and then our girl friend came by to come visit us and the lady was getting all weird that there were two girls over, so you pretty much only get a super strict bedroom to sleep in only…

Great accommodation with excellent host. Near the airport for ideal travel times. The kitchenette was stocked with little snacks and teas a weary traveller could use. Would definitely stay here again

There was no iron, which was very disappointing, as clothes look terrible after being packed in a suitcase or backpack. Also, if you return to the guesthouse late in the evening or at night, be prepared for the entrance doors to be locked. We had to write to customer support because we couldn't get inside for 20 minutes. Overall, a wonderful place and a wonderful hostess.

The host, Kelly, lives on site. We had the ground floor bedroom, with private bath and kitchen. Slippers are provided, but we brought our own. The mattress was very comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water. The toilet is lower than we are used to. There is free Wi-Fi. The other 2 guest rooms are upstairs. The 2nd floor common area for all guests is huge. Total cost of washing and drying one load is $8. A $35 taxi ride brought us to Orchid House. Then we used the very good and frequent 406 bus to the Skytrain. Given enough time a Day Pass could be ordered by mail. We bought ours at a drug store. With the Day Pass seniors pay $9.05 per day for unlimited transit use. Buses and trains can be crowded. Online pass top ups are easy. The machines at the train station are confusing. If you load your card at a machine remember to tap once more after you have successfully paid. Take the 406 bus to Steveston.

Very clean, cozy rooms, close to airport and all good restaurants. Everything was well organized and maintained. The price was a steal given the dates we booked was during a concert. We really appreciate everything the owner did fo this place and their guests.

Very quiet safe neighborhood, can walk 4 level blocks to great public transportation bus, ride bus to great public rail service for low cost easy trip to down town Vancouver. Would stay again !

The property is on a quiet street, the host met us and showed/ explained the workings of the suite. Very friendly lady and efficient! Easy to get into Kitsilano from here bus car. Short distance (via car ) to Steveston Wharf and food. Will definitely be staying here again.
