On the Thursday I informed the host, Sophie, that we would be arriving between 6pm and 7pm. We arrived at the property at 5pm on Sunday and waited for the host to arrive at 6pm. The details on booking.com said the host would meet us in person at the property. 6pm came and went. We phoned Sophie at 6.15pm to find out where she was. She sent us a link to pay the deposit, which we did. The information on booking.com said the deposit would be taken from our credit card up to 7 days beforehand, that didn't happen! This was another statement which wasn't true. Then rather than meeting us at the property Sophie sent us a WhatsApp message in French with the details of where the keys were hidden. We translated this into English and set about finding the keys. By the time we entered the property it was gone 7pm. I have been visiting France for 44 years since I was a teenager and this was the most difficult host/property I have ever dealt with. I asked Sophie why she didn't meet us at the property at 6pm. She said "I normally do meet people if they give me more than 1 hours notice." I said we notified you last Thursday what time we were arriving, that is over 3 days notice which you confirmed was ok. I said why didn't you meet us at 6pm. I received no reply. People have said in their reviews that the communication was very good but we found the communication to be appalling. Given over half the people using this accommodation are English speaking then I find it strange that there is no information at the property in English. This is the first property I have ever stayed at that doesn't have an English version of house information. The property was in need of maintenance. There was a light fitting hanging off the ceiling in the main bedroom. The plug in the kitchen sink was jammed and could not be used. The shower and basin in the bathroom were both very slow draining. You had to have a quick shower before the shower tray filled up.

Nothing. We booked the apartment for 7 days. The host did not meet us at the building as agreed. We could not move in. We had to go to a hotel and change our plans. We have to fight now to get our money back.( rent, damage deposit and cleaning money) It’s a nightmare. Never again will we stay in private accommodations.

Very clean and comfortable with excellent facilities

We liked the central location of the apartment. And also its modern furnishing and equipment.

We did not like the general layout of the rooms. Not so much that the apartment is on three floors. The problem was that the toilet - without water for washing hands - is directly next to the kitchen on the middle floor, the bathroom without a toilet is next to the room on the upper floor, and the room on the lower floor has neither.

The place is very nice and great location.

It wasn’t a problem but us but it’s three levels with very narrow stairs. And stairs to come into the apartment. If this is a problem for you I wouldn’t recommended it. Eg you have to walk down the narrow stairs at night to use the toilet. You have to bring your suitcase up the front steps

Excellent location. Separate bedroom, kitchen and lounge on three floors.

Toilet on ground floor (below bedroom) and no wash-hand basin in toilet.

Our second stay at this beautiful apartment, located in the heart of the city. Perfect location, very clean and modern. Great communication with the hosts who are friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back.
