Wonderful staff- especially Adriana in the bar! Also, the front desk person who. He led us in but we didn’t get her name. The hotel is so beautiful and the view- WOW! Loved the breakfast as well! Thank you for everything- we will be back!

Great staff and beautiful property. Gorgeous lake views. Most of the outdoor property has been renovated. Caffe and restaurant staff is outstanding and super helpful to us. Unfortunately the hotel was full due to olympic team for rowing competitions and we got a very old room with dirty yellow paint and poorly maintained green carpet on the 4th floor. This hotel has lots of potential byt I highly recommend the manager or maintenance team to give a fresh coat of paint to the room and the stairs area.

Beautiful property with nice mature trees. Service was very courteous upon arrival. The pool and outside areas are clean and updated. The hotel is situated at a short distance to the main city of Varese. The only down side is some of the rooms still have carpet, and showers with curtains. Overall, I recommend this establishment and would come back.

Our experience at the Palace Grand Hotel in Varese was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in warmth, charm, and old-world elegance that made our stay unforgettable. At the bar, Domenico and Marco were shining stars. Their hospitality made every visit special, and their mixed beverages were expertly crafted and consistently delicious. Whether we were winding down after a day of adventure or enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail, Domenico and Marco made sure everything was perfect. We left with two new friends. One of the true highlights was the spa experience with Lisa, whose lymphatic drainage massage was absolutely wonderful. She is incredibly skilled, attentive, and made me feel completely relaxed and rejuvenated. It was truly one of the best spa treatments I’ve ever had. We were also lucky enough to plan a rehearsal dinner and Welcome drink experience with Chiara. She went above and beyond to make sure we knew all of our options and plans for our wedding celebration coming up. Her attention to detail, warmth, and thoughtful hospitality made everyone feel welcome and at ease. She’s truly a gem. The grounds of the hotel are stunning, with sweeping views of Lake Varese and an atmosphere that feels both tranquil and grand. Every staff member we encountered was gracious and professional, and the service throughout was top-notch. We can’t wait to return for our wedding celebrations. Not exactly what we expected from an accomodation bearing the name grand hotel, meaning excellent service, prestine cuisine, small gestures. Among a list of issues for us, to name a few, the unfriendly service on the phone, the special set menu that simple was a choice of the a la carte, would not let us recommend this hotel. The view though is fabulous and the location is special, so if you only care about those two maybe this is for you nevertheless, just bear in mind you have to go by car or take a taxi.

Amazing place, the hill is a bit of a climb but well worth the views, spent a lot of money on taxis as it’s away from a lot of transport links, may be worth hiring a car. Service is amazing, bar staff super helpful and restaurant very nice.

My room on the 4th floor, especially the bathroom, was in urgent need of remodelling. The road leading to the hotel on top of a hill is full of bumps. The restaurant food was delicious but the chief waiter came along in an arrogant way. Breakfast servic was good.

We love the surroundings of the hotel and the Christmas decorations were awesome, creating the holiday vibes. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant served excellent food - breakfast and dinner. One thing that can be improved will be the condition of the hotel. Being an establishment with many years of history, the place do look dated and the room allocated to us had a broken toilet. The staff was kind enough to extend us another room beside so that we can access the toilet.

Girls at the front desk were so helpful. Our sauna wasn’t working so they gave us free access to the spa and also comped some drinks for us which was very much appreciated. My husband especially was uncomfortable with the flat, hard pillows so that really needs addressing. We also didn’t care for the food in the restaurant especially at those prices. Breakfast was very nice though. We enjoyed our views from our room and the spaciousness of our room.
