I picked Albergo Bologna because of its central location. The staff here was extremely helpful and flexible. Old world ambiance was charming, reminding me of my good ole' days in Italy. The restaurant attached was terrific for both breakfast and lunch, and icing on the cake.
Some rooms in the Albergo are not reachable directly by elevator. I was assigned a room on the top floor where I still had to climb a narrow flight of stairs. Regretfully, this retiree strained a back muscle hauling my heavy luggage up the stairs myself since all the staff was busy with luncheon service.

The restaurant and staff were fantastic. The room furnishings were a bit sparse and the bathroom was outdated, but everything was clean and comfortable and very economical.
