Overall we had a nice stay. Convenient location to Ann Arbor for a Michigan game. Nice breakfast in the morning. Nice staff. Bathrooms could be updated… but the room was clean.

I always love the friendliness of the staff at a DoubleTree! There was a very loud party when I returned to my room around 12am, which did make it difficult to fall asleep. The shower also had a stray hair on the ground. This was unusual for a Hilton, and I do plan to return in the future! Just wanted to share my experiences

Clean room and nice staff

Accidentally left a very expensive item on my nightstand. Called shortly after and was told housekeeping didn’t find it. Staff is not trustworthy.

The toilet didn’t flush when we arrived. Maintenance worked on it that evening. By morning it wasn’t working again. Staff said we were not entitled to a discount because we booked through Expedia.

We had a great one night stay for a concert. Hotel staff were friendly and hotel was clean and convenient for our stay.

Bathroom way to small. The toilet height is children size.....seriously have executive mgmt sit down on one of them and tell me that is comfortable.....ridiculous! No fan in bathroom...really!@$^.....BTW the famous chocolate cookies at check in were warm mush.....heated soggy dough.....not crispy like the last Doubletree I stayed in Bay City, MI

It was a very nice hotel.

Just average. No closet in our room. The refrigerator froze all of our food because the door for the freezer was missing and the buffet was not worth the money. We requested the room to be cleaned for just one of the days during our stay and beds were thrown together. Overall nothing was a big deal but just not what I expected for a Hilton.

Clean, quiet and comfortable- What more does one need? The only complaint is the high price of their buffet breakfast. Other than that, it’s great for the price.

Hotel rooms are decent but older. Construction on hotel property. Pricey for what you get.

We enjoyed our stay and the comfortable sleep.

We stayed in the hotel 3 nights. The staff was not helpful at all. The lobby smelled of gasoline because of roofing work. I asked for my room to be cleaned one out of the 3 days. On that day, we came back at noon and saw that the roon was not clean. The cleaning cart was just 2 rooms away. So we left and came back at 4 pm and still the room was not cleaned. When i called the front desk, i was told that occupied rooms would get cleaned at the end of the shift. I said when is that? The guy said it's 5 pm. I said i was never told that and of all the hotels i stayed at, that's never been the case. For the fumes that were making me dizzy and afraid to eat at the onsite restaurant for breakfast, and the lack of room cleaning, can you give me a hotel credit? The guy said take it up with expedia because you booked with them. Not helpful. Then i went downstairs later to get some wash cloths and garbage bags. I asked for coffee from the coffee dispenser. Can you believe it's $3 and the guy said we don't offer complimentary coffee here. Hello! You want a bad review instead, I asked. The guy asked for my room number and looked away. I told him it'd be such a small gesture. He ignored me. There needs to be better customer service here.

Location was excellent for a U of M visit. Not the best Hilton brand hotel I've been too - bit below average for the brand. There was a strong odor from either an adhesive or petroleum product in the hallway. It smelled like an auto repair shop. I am not sure if the hotel was being renovated or repairing a mechanical problem. Hopefully it was addressed and is no longer an issue.

It didn’t live up to Doubletree Hilton name. It smelled of new paint in the lobby. We prepurchased breakfast which was mediocre and the room was small.

Their where some updates going on and the roof was one. The order was a bit strong but wasn't in my room, which meant I was only bothered by it at the front deck.

Stayed only one night for my grandson's basketball tournament. Beds were so comfortable!!! Hotel and room was very clean. Staff were very helpful.We will definitely stay again.

I didn’t like that there’s payment for EVERYTHING. The fact that there was no complementary breakfast after paying for the room every night, that was not fair.

They were tearing the roof when we arrived and the smell was horrible. Also the property was not that clean garbage in stairwells, parking lot. We would not stay again. Front desk staff upon check in where terribly rude when we inquired about the smell. We were glad we only stayed 1 night would not have stayed longer

Front desk was very friendly and helpful, and the room was fine. The rest of the stay was not great. They were doing work on the roof (tarring?), and the whole first floor smelled awful, like petroleum vapor. They oddly charged $3 a cup for the lobby coffee, and their breakfast buffet service was overwhelmed - we finished our food before the waitress brought coffee. We’ve stayed here a few times, and each time we’ve thought it was at best average or poor. The other DoubleTree’s have been great, so this still surprises us. We won’t be staying here again, we’ll try other options in the area.

Check in was average, the staff seemed uncomfortable for some reason, not sure if it was for the fact that they had an overwhelming nasty smell of gasoline reeking through the lobby and the first floor hallways or the fact that the manager felt uncomfortable by the presence of people of color. I’m gonna give the benefit of the doubt and say it was the first one. The gasoline smell permeated the halls and the jacuzzi was out of order. The elevators were small and cramped. Rooms was clean but for almost 300 a night I expect a bathtub, instead I just got a cramped shower and small sink.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool area is dated and hot tub wasn’t working during our stay.
