The perfect base for a weekend in Ludlow

The Nook was perfect for our stay in Ludlow. It is very central and has great views over the market place. Despite the fact that the market starts early we were not disturbed in any way. The apartment is very comfortable (the bed especially so), and is well equipped. We stayed at the end of November and even with the big sash widows overlooking the square it was very warm. Owing to its central location we did not need to use the car during our stay. There is so much to see and do in the town that we were glad we could forget about it. All the main attractions are within easy walking distance. We hope to come back in next year and we would definitely make The Nook our first choice for somwewhere to stay.

Festive Stay in Ludlow

The flat overlooked the market square, and we had a lovely view of the shops and market stalls. Very festive listening to the Carol singers. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. It was also handy having the Spar shop opposite for supplies. It was open until 11pm.

nice location, the instructions on accessing keys were simple. 2 night stay - ideal for meeting my brother who lives near by in Ludlow.. didn't really use the kitchen other than to make drinks - I eat out, used kitchen for my laptop via an extension cable I brought with me (plug was initially difficult to fit however, as there is a metal display cabinet in the way). Warm inside.. uses a hive central heating system. Very clean inside - convenient for main shops in Ludlow. I would stay again.

The lack of usable power sockets (eg for laptops) - which could have been remedied quickly with extension sockets eg in the kitchen - even plugging in a usb charger in the bedroom (for charging mobile) required moving the side cabinet out a couple of inches to fit in a PD charge. I fortunately bought a portable extension socket with me.. so could use my laptop on the kitchen table. Not a major issue for myself as only stayed there 2 nights.. but either the fridge didn't work or was extremely unclear on how to turn on it... either way on arrival there was no working fridge. Might have been helped if the under kitchen cabinet lighting worked (flicked switch, no lights) - else too dark to examine switches.. if one was for the fridge could be remedied by putting a simple clear sticky label above it. Also might be better to turn on for guests (tapo wifi smart plug could do that remotely?) prior to arrival. But luckily i was mainly eating out (at my brothers), so the lack of a fridge wasn't so much of an issue to myself. I did try to contact owners, but my stupid personal email was playing up (blocked smtp when not using home/office wifi - this obviously no fault of hosts - need to chase this up with my home ISP)will give 10/10 of cleanness, value for money - was very clean, but 8/10 for general maintenance, hence my 9 out of 10 rating. Minor point - the electric shower wasn't very warm even when set to the maximum.

A room with a view.

This Apt is central to Ludlow Castle. Easy walking from the door to Ludlow Castle and attractions, shops and restaurants/coffee bars. The Nook is very well equipped for any length of stay, clean and homely. Two large bay windows to people watch!

No voile drapes in lounge, on view to the street, especially when lights have to be on. Being on the market square, there is early sounds from the stall holders setting up early in the mornings. Sadly the lounge chairs were not comfortable for me.

Lovely flat in a great location but with a few drawbacks

Well decorated and equipped in a great central location.

There was a lot of noise from early morning deliveries to local shops and the market. This started at 5.30am on the first morning and 4.30am on the second. This spoiled an otherwise excellent stay.

Nice place to stay

Good location....10 minutes (uphill) walk from train station...Three minutes to everything else.Clean,comfortable apartment.Decent shower.More than adequate kitchen.Good tv.Free internet was available even though the apartment is described as having none.Very quick responses when contacting the very polite hosts who made every effort to keep the place cooler during the recent hot weather. I appreciated the early check-in.

No shower gel or toilet rolls are provided but there is a well-stocked Spar supermarket directly opposite.

Memorable holiday - lovely to look out of the bay window and see the market being set up.

Location was brilliant, central to the markets and all the shops.

Could have done with two pillows on the bed for each person rather than one pillow and one cushion for each person. No salt and vinegar provided and no First Aid Kit which had been advertised as having in accommodation.

1 Mattress could be better quality. Springs a bit uneven, but we are being a bit fussy. 2 This didn't make any difference to us as weather was kind, but if you have gone to the trouble and expense of installing double glazing why leave outer windows open?

Amazing Apartment

The location was perfect. the apartment was absolutely amazing . The hosts had thought of everything you may need for a perfect stay. Highly recommend, and we have told three couples since we came home, and we have only been home a day.

I can't say we didn't like anything, but my husband was worried about breaking the chair in the lounge he would have preferred a solid armchair, as he struggled to get up out of it .

Lovely location and place to stay - will defo be back.

Location was brilliant, overlooking the square and just yards from the castle entrance. Car park is around the back for short stay, or theres a longer stay around another corner, prob 8min walk which is longer stay.

The front door was a little hard to get in - especially after some drinks, had to call the owner.

Goed en mooi appartement in een mooi stadje

De ruimte, de locatie, de heerlijke stoelen. Prima keuken. Alles dichtbij pub, restaurant, de markt en het kasteel. Zelfs de parkeerplaats Lower Galdeford car park is 600 meter verder en niet zo heel duur.

Je zit boven de markt er is van ‘s morgens vroeg tot 16:00u rumoer, maar wij hebben dat niet als storend ervaren.
