Location & quality of apartment was absolutely brilliant. Lovely warm welcome from host & this apartment was beautiful. We would love to return!!

Nothing - but wished we could have stayed longer!! We will be back!!

Hele leuke ligging, midden in een gebied met veel restaurants en vlak bij het kasteel. Het appartement zelf is ook heel mooi en goed ingericht. Wat prettig is dat je ook wat later kunt uitchecken zodat je nog even gezellig samen kunt ontbijten voordat je weer op pad gaat. Mooi dat de schoonmaak van het appartement wordt uitgevoerd door mensen met een beperking (sympathieke instelling). Ook het hebben van een parkeergelegenheid in een parkeergarage is prettig. Wij zouden dit zeker opnieuw boeken.

We only stayed here for 1 night as I had booked a sister appartment with the same host for the other 3. I decided that we would like to stay for a total of 4 nights and the hosts organised this appartment as they couldn't extend the other one. Very well equiped, great for a long weekend. Again, everything was organised and explained by the hosts including secure parking. Due to its central location in the old quarter, we actually preferred this location to the other appartment. This one is right in the middle of the old quarter and literally upstairs from some great restaurants. Highly recommended, Merci Robin.

Very small comment, the very comfortable double was a little too close to the wall on one side. Apart from that it was great.

The Apartment has so much potential - light, bright living area. Good kitchen. Good shower. Seating is comfortable.The bedroom is small with a good double bed. Good Wifi. Very good hosts who spent time with us explaining the "dos and don'ts". However, 2 issues spoiled our stay.

The 2 things that you need to be aware of if you stay..... Firstly, we stayed for 4 nights at the end of May 2026, during the European heatwave. For 3 days it was 32° in the apartment, unbearable. The sun raged through the 4 big windows. There are no external blinds or curtains on these windows to block the sun. Opening windows made no difference. The fan in the room simply circulated the hot air. I did the owner, Robin, the courtesy of informing him that there was "a big problem" with the heat in the room and there was the need for a proper cooling fan. So our comments here will not come as a surprise to him. I note that a guest in August 2025 experienced similar heat discomfort. I understand that temperatures in Caen were unseasonably hot at this time, but the world is facing climate uncertainty and heat spikes are here to stay. Secondly, the noise from the street - too intrusive. The apartment fronts a street full of exceptionally busy restaurants with lots of tables in the street - there are at least 8 as well as a night club, Le Depot. We are used to busy, cosmopolitan street life coming from London. However, we found the level of noise and the party atmosphere excessive.
