Very much clean, main area and host were very much attentive

The property itself is in a great location for exploring all of the old town and main attractions. There is a big common area with sofas, table and chairs. There are also kitchen facilities such as microwave, fridge freezer and a free water filter dispenser for cold and boiling water. The staff member we met and had contact with during our stay was really friendly and helpful.

While the age of the building has its charm, the construction and layout means that sounds carries throughout the property. Similarly, the modern partitions installed to create more rooms are made of something between the thickness of paper and cardboard which sound travels through with ease. With regard to sound it entirely depends upon your own behaviour and the behaviour of your fellow guests, if everyone is respectful the property is very pleasant. We unfortunately experienced the opposite but we reached out to the property management and to their credit they reminded everyone to be respectful and the nights after were much improved. Overall cleanliness should be improved, while the property was attended to daily for ‘housekeeping’ (which appeared mainly to be supplying more toilet paper to the shared bathrooms) dust, dirt, hair and general build up has accumulated on all of the floors, surfaces, sink fixtures and toilets. This would be resolved simply with a long overdue deep clean rather than daily surface level cleaning.

The place is walking distance from most places in Georgetown and pretty convenient. The room was very clean, and a cleaner was in everyday in the afternoon to clean and set all of the rooms. The room was also much larger than expected, with a common living room area for everyone to use downstairs too. The air conditioning in the private area was also very strong. It's pretty much self check-in and self check-out as there are no staff other than the cleaner, but the hosts are reachable at any time online. They also let me use the shower after check-out too.

The shower rooms are the main downside. There are a few shared showers on each floor, with each shower shared with a toilet. However, there are no shelves or tables inside to put things. It was somewhat inconvenient to use just hooks to put everything I brought to the shower. Sometimes the toilet paper is soaked due to being in proximity to the shower, but at least there's always a stack of toilet paper prepared in the common area.

This place is fantastic—beautiful, convenient, and the shared spaces are excellent.

We stayed in a front-facing bedroom and quickly realised why earplugs were provided (a thoughtful gesture, by the way). Unfortunately, we really needed them. The road noise was loud and constant throughout the night, likely due to poorly sealed windows. On both nights, a waste truck arrived around 3 a.m. and caused quite a disturbance. We’d strongly recommend upgrading to double-glazed windows or fully sealing the existing ones, especially since the current windows don’t offer a view anyway. Improving the sound insulation would make a huge difference for future guests.
