    I love the vibe of hotel. Just walk distance to Armenian Street. But you have to find your parking by your own. No free parking provided. No lift also in tue hotel but it is okay, just one floor to steep.

    Spacious place. With food choices and a small supermarket within 2 min walk. It's near to the jetties but there are better choices if you want to be closer to Armenia Street and the art mural and the free CAT bus service. The room is not without defects eg there are holes/ cracks on the walls, but the shower is well designed, and the loft room offered lots of space. They also upcycle a door as the wall and that gives the room character. My room is on the second floor so curtains can be drawn open (there are rooms on the first floor facing the walkway). The steps are also steep so people with knees issue may want to reconsider. There's no fridge in the room though there is a common fridge and microwave near the reception, but it's not for you if your food has pork or lard so please be considerate. One day the power was out for 4 hours and the hotel refused to allow us to cancel, though luckily it didn't happen again.

    This room can fit up to 4 pax. Spacious. Not sound proof. We can hear the vehicles passing by. Location is fantastic. Walking distance to Armenian st. Eateries just next door and opposite the hotel.

    We spent two nights at the hotel. We were looking for a more authentic accommodation. This shop house is really cute and the location is quite good. Our room was small but it was nicely decorated and it was very quiet at night. However, there are some areas that could have improved our experience: 1) I contacted the hotel beforehand to inform about our arrival time but never got a response 2) check in time was delayed with no heads up 3) our room had a strong smell of cigarette from the previous guests, and the front desk lady as well as the cleaning guy seemed to pretend they had no idea about it 4) just one lady out of 4 that we met was actually nice and friendly 5) no information on wi-fi or what to do in Penang was available or provided. I really hope the hotel can address particularly the personel issue, as it could make a massive difference.
