Aayu Melayu - George Town Penang

I stayed only one night but i loved it. It felt like living in the colonial style home of my aunt in Port Louis, Mauritius in the 90s. I admit the room was small, there is very little space to walk, but, it fits the style, the bed was comfortable, there is AC, WIFI, kitchen, everything. Location wise, you are at 8 minutes walk from the nightmarket, 10 minutes to Jetty and popular wall paintings. I recommend everyone going to Georgetown to experience this kind of stay. You visit Georgetown for it's architecture and uniqueness, a place stuck in time. This stay felt like i took a ship back to the past for 2 days, it was wonderful. Little note our the host, Ram. Great !! Kind and friendly people run this place. It's clean and has all the right aspects of a great lodging.

The property is in a great location in the centre of George Town so everywhere is walkable distance. Our room was big and great value for money, alongside the privilege of AC in such a hot country. The hosts were accommodating and gave recommendations on where to go and where to eat , if we had any issues they were there in no time and very responsive!

(Boyfriend of the couple speaking) The only thing was that the walls are thin and not very soundproof therefore if you’re a traveler in a couple or on your honey moon just be mindful! However, the facilities are brilliant and so were the staff who upkeep the property.

The set up and ID of the common area, especially the lobby/ground floor was very clean and neat. The toilet and shower were clean too.

With the double bed in, there available space to move around was barely enough. The pillows were terrible, and the mattress sagged when you lied on the bed.
