Nice house
The bbq on the pics was not part of the deal , had to pay extra to use

The location was good (despite the steep road) and quiet. The rooms were spacious.
We were really disappointed with this stay. The home was absolutely freezing on arrival and it took all night to warm up the space. I could not get comfortable or sleep well. We used the gas heaters, in addition to the heat pumps, on arrival, but did not want to leave them running overnight. The bathroom is downstairs so it was very daunting to get out of bed and go downstairs in the freezing cold during the night or brush your teeth in the morning. Moreover, the onsen was lukewarm at best (even when following the instructions to heat it up). The cups and mugs were plastic.
Note that my husband and I lived in old Japanese apartments for years so we are used to their quirks and shortcomings, but this was more than we could handle.
