The hotel is located about 20 min walk from the open air museum in Hakone. There's also a convenience store just outside the hotel. The breakfast is nice, mainly Japanese breakfast but some Western options as well. Staff were super helpful with everything we needed.
Parking was a bit cramped.

I loved everything about this hotel and more specifically the Yukata, the sento which was really amazing, the food, the tea bar. The room was HUGE which is very rare in Japan, and the beds veeery comfortable.

Location, layout, rooms, Onsen. Scores well on all of the above mentioned.
The staff doesn’t have a clue about hospitality. Especially the restaurant staff, if you ask them for a chargeable breakfast to be added, it’s like they are doing you a favour. The person there embarrassed me by asking me time and again (4 times) if i had paid in cash, which i had BUT she kept running back and forth just to clarify again and again and again and again (4 times). Training your team is crucial. With such a wonderful hotel, it’s a big oversight that needs attention. Good luck
