Cabin Aelwyd Snowdonia

Cabin is spacious, well equiped and very clean. The location is peaceful but close to attractions.

Location suited us perfectly as we could travel to lots of different places within 30mins to an hour such as Barmouth, Criccieth, Porthmadog and Snowden area. I can honestly say the lodge was exceptionally clean, the cleanest self catering accommodation we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot over the years. Smart TV great, internet great, plenty of kitchen equipment including washing up liquid, sponge, tea towel, kitchen roll etc, just need a couple of wine glasses as I had to use a half pint glass! Bed super comfy and shower was good too, although a shower mat would be useful as it was quite slippy. Nicely decorated and you can tell the owners care about pleasing their guests.

These didn't spoil our stay, just our personal observations. The key didn't open all of the windows, it just kept spinning round in some and didn't fit others (bathroom, 1 in bedroom and kitchen) and it was super hot the days we were there. The settees were very low and soft which didn't suit us but others may like. The outside area whilst very pretty needs a little attention as there are lots of overgrown weeds and we would have preferred a table and chairs over a wooden bench as you couldn't really sit comfortably outside to read or move into the shade. Overall we had a lovely stay in an ideal peaceful location.

We picked this location for ease of riding straight to Coed y Brenin trail centre. There a great trail that runs over the back of the park.

Lovely location. Nice and comfortable with touches like fans, extra pillows and televisions in each room.

A little freezer box in the fridge and oven mits would be useful.
