Beautiful scenic location with views of the mountains. The cabin was well maintained and decorated tastefully. Everything we needed for a peaceful and romantic Valentines weekend. Having stayed in several other cabins here before, I knew what to expect but this was the best yet. We got the sense that the owner had taken a lot of pride in making the cabin homely and comfortable.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the location. It was perfectly positioned with so many attractions, activities, and places to explore within a short drive, which made planning days out very easy. The surroundings felt peaceful and relaxing, offering a nice escape while still being close to amenities. Overall, the convenience of the location significantly enhanced our experience and made the stay enjoyable and memorable for our short family break.
One downside of our stay was the location being deep within a forest area, which made access challenging. Due to windy and rainy weather it became quite difficult to navigate. We struggled to find the property, especially due to dark, which caused some stress on arrival. Better mapping or clear directions shared in advance would have helped significantly and made the arrival experience far smoother and more comfortable overall.

Beautiful location, lovely little cabin with a very well equipped kitchen. A great spot of Wales, to explore other areas, drive to Snowdon, go for walks, or to visit towns close by. The area is stunning this time of year.
The park itself is lovely and has a small shop selling limited essentials. The cabin felt beautifully private and we didn't feel overlooked. We had some very extreme weather and heavy rain but felt so snuggly inside. The heaters in the cabin were wonderful and we certainly didn't feel the cold at all.
As others have mentioned, it needs a little money invested into it really as some bits of it are a little old and tired.
The second bedroom was not comfortable for two children. The old mattress on the bottom bunk wasn't great and the bunk bed frame was creaky, clunky and wobbly.
When tested, the smoke alarm didn't work. It looks like this has been mentioned before, but is a pretty big health and safety issue.

Nice peaceful location in the heart of the National Park. Lodge was comfortable and clean. Good value for money. Bring your own tea, coffee, sugar, and milk. Also, bring your own towels they are not included. Lodge has everything else you need. Amazing skys on a clear night!
Our original booking was cancelled, and we had to change the date. This was so frustrating after booking so far in advance. For that reason alone, I would not book again. The owner did give clear instructions about our stay. Very limited shop on site also a small cafe where you can buy alcohol.

I was just after a 'base' close to Barmouth for a weekend. This accommodation met my needs at a reasonable price. Some things might have been a nuisance for a longer stay, but for a short stop it was perfectly adequate. One night the clouds were sparse and I spent a while enjoying watching the shooting stars - that was a nice birthday treat! 😊 You could just about make out the Milky Way too.
Struggled to find the property number on arrival. Parking was tight, especially with the shrubbery. Couldn't get the TV to switch on. Missing some of the most useful kitchen basics. Toilet was temperamental to flush. No loo roll.

Lovely cosy, atmospheric cottage. Very warm, with gorgeous natural surroundings. Beds were comfortable. Thankyou for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!
There were no towels and only a very limited amount of toilet paper- we had.to buy more. We had to hire towels from reception @ £5 each for the night. Not a major drama, but we haven't encountered this elsewhere.

Close to supermarket. It takes 40 mins to Watkin path. The property is spacious. The check in instruction is clear and easy.
The toilet water is no good as we need to pour water into the loo to flush. It’s a bit inconvenient for us. On the last night of our stay, we saw a man touched a switch and the water returned to normal.

The lodge was clean.
The car parking was really tight. The hedge needs cutting right back - we could only open the doors on one side of the car.
The gate onto the decking is falling apart and the decking itself (although there's a warning notice) is very slippery when wet. We're late 70's and really struggled.
The bed is ridiculously high - see last statement.
We had real problems getting the toilet to flush, to the point where we were having to leave it unflushed at times.
The shower head squirts out water in all directions and the shower door doesn't fit properly so the bathroom floods.
There are absolutely no cleaning items or bin liners - just a bottle of washing up liquid.
The chair and the sofa have seen better days, they're both grubby and uncomfortable.
One of the light bulbs in the small bedroom is really dim and one is missing completely.
The venetian blind behind the sofa doesn't open and close.
The batteries in the tv remote had gone but none were supplied to replace them. We had to take the batteries out of one of our torches.
A number of our problems have been mentioned in previous reviews - it really isn't fair to keep taking money if you're not prepared to do any maintenance.

Peaceful and quiet area, we have stayed in the park a few times before. Its Situated just off the a470 and has easy access to many beaches and tourist spots, we use this park as our getaway from it all.
All the rooms had tvs the kitchen was fully equipped, the sofa comfy, heaters in all rooms, dinning table, bedroom and bathroom clean.
The big no no was there was no battery in the fire alarm the carbon monoxide alarm worked but I lost all hope when I tested the fire alarm and found it didn't work because there was no battery. All in all the place is a little tired and needs a deep clean. Checking outside i had to try and secure the shed door due to the door being damaged and pushed in, looks like someone staying here had damaged it as the lock was undone and all contents on display, so the previous checks were not done before we got there.
Decking is due for a refit, certain places you lean it starts to feel a little unstable, the gate to left of the entrance is broken at the bottom, the one to the right you use to gain access is staring to break to bits
First night we settled down to watch tv as we had bad weather and the tv didn't work in the living room, I did message and get a reply the next day about getting someone out to check, i work in trades and know after checking the fuse that the tv had to be replaced but tbh I don't want to mess about while im on holiday, I only just saw a review from August saying the tv didn't work 🤨. The floor was dirty and needed a clean so all I had was multipurpose wipes which were stinking after I finished. There were quite a lot of cobwebs all around the ceiling and beams.
There's a lot of loose 240v cables that should be enclosed in trunking or clipped in place.
I flooded the shower first using it as it wouldn't drain away, I had to pull the trap and remove other people's hair just to use it as I need a shower as I travelled from work.
The sink when you empty the bowl absolutely stinks so I think the ubend needs a good clean.
There were al loose black beads under the bunk, under the sofa cushions were full of dust crumbs and other things.
Bushes coming through onto decking which im 99% sure is toxic to dogs which will cause vomiting.

I liked the location and that we could bring our dogs. Everything we needed too to make our stay comfortable.
The property was quite tired looking, the log cabin infront was having work done. So a builder was there when we arrived, so not much privacy. The bed mattress was too hard, but lovely pillows & the bedroom was a lovely decor.

The log cabin was easy to find, well equipped, and in a quiet, private location – ideal for a walking weekend in Snowdonia. It had everything we needed, including plenty of hot water, washing-up liquid, and a sponge, which was a thoughtful touch. The Wi-Fi worked well, and overall it made a great base for our trip.
The driveway and parking area were a little overgrown, so we had to be careful not to scratch the car on the bushes. It would have been helpful to know in advance that there wasn’t a hair dryer, and we couldn’t get the TV to work despite trying new batteries in the remote – some basic instructions would have been appreciated. The main bed was quite small, possibly a standard double, which we found a bit cramped, though we made it work by using separate beds.

Early July, peaceful location, comfortable with everything in the log cabin. Spacious even if we had two kids with us. Very nice basic cabins.
Bet it's bustling in the holidays, some lovely views on clear days, nearby field with Shetland ponies and goats (can not enter and do not fees them)
Only stayed for two nights, so without being too picky; a couple of cobwebs about, which seem to be present for quite some time. Old coffee jar with remnants of coffee stuck to the bottom.
There was a bar and cafe that was closed on Monday night around 9, didn't look on the Tuesday night. We didn't see any staff around and reception open till 5, but we weren't around to check it out as we did day trips out. Including train up Snowdon (highly recommend)
As a Man U fan, I had to giggle at the Liverpool shrine. I am also a respectable football fan and so didn't remove any of it, plus I didn't have a screwdriver, lol 😆

Simple code. In lock box sorted
Overall the cabin was fantastic, location, layout and facilities first class. There were a few niggles, could have done with a clean, windows dirty, beds not made, kids hair clips and bands down side of chair, kitchen grubby (grease on the blinds, floor not been mopped) cobwebs in the bathroom, toothpaste and soap scum in bathroom sink. Carpet not hoovered, fire has no bulb so didn't light up. All of these are small niggles didn't unduly impact our stay, however the bed! I thought I could sleep anywhere but that bed is an instrument of torture! It should have spoiled our stay but we loved the cabin so.much we endured it but really you should put a decent mattress on there and the cabin would be 100% and I can tell you I would be back time and again. We didn't want to leave we loved it but not the bed it really was a big downer on our stay. Sorry.

The location and ease of find the cabin. The facilities were perfect for what we wanted
There was a damp smell in the cabin and on all the furniture. It was strong when you first entered and more noticeable on the sofas.

The location is perfect! Absolutely stunning views and in driving distance to so many beautiful places to visit.
The cabin is lovely [again, with mountain views].
The bed [main bedroom] is really small.
There is nowhere on site to get a meal [there is a cafe, but closed when we were there].

The location is quite good, and the holiday village has some really nice views. The kitchen is well equipped and really useful. The property even has 3 TVs. The wifi was decent and the shower was quite good. The property was really nice and had great potential to be a really good place to stay. The cabin offers great value for money too. A few things on our particular stay could have been better which is why the rating is not as high as it would have been.
While the property had a fully functional kitchen, there were no scrubs provided to wash dishes (we had to go buy them), and there were no kitchen rolls (also bought them). Some of the dishes were left quite dirty/improperly cleaned from before and we could not use these until we had bought the missing cleaning supplies. These would have been quite minor but the main issue we had was the toilet was clogged and would fill up to the brim with water when flushed. The host was very responsive and helpful in sending someone to help late at night. But unfortunately this did not fully solve the problem and we had the same issue the following morning- which meant we could not use the toilet. I'm sure that if this is fixed, this property would score very highly. The host did mention that they would have it looked at and fixed.

Being just before Christmas, the cabin was decorated which we liked very much. It was nice, warm and cosy. Easy to communicate with the owners. Weather wasn't great, so we definitely need to go back for more, in better weather. Thank you!
Quite high bed, a bit tricky with the children.

Fantastic little cabin (283) with everything you need. It is really like being at home not needing anything. The cabin itself had a lovely cosy feel to it and the location was perfect. The setting was very peaceful with views of the mountains. We were able to take our dog as it was a dog friendly cabin. Cabin was clean and tidy. We would recommend anyone to come here for a short break or a long holiday, ita fabulous place to stay and convenient for all the local attractions too. We will definitely be back again :).

The cabin was lovely and cosy with everything you need in a home-from-home including a TV in every room with Netflix and good WiFi access. After a long walk up a mountain or a day on the beach it was great to come back and relax on the incredibly comfortable sofa. The enclosed verandah was a bonus for us because we could have the door open without worrying about the dog escaping. The woodland setting is gorgeous too - surrounded by fields and mountains with dark skies at night which were great for stargazing. The hosts had even provided all the basics such as tea/coffee/milk and bread etc. which we weren't expecting at all.
I'm struggling to think of anything we didn't like. The nearest pub is a car ride away so I guess it wouldn't necessarily be the best location for anyone who wanted to go out drinking, but we were more than happy to stay in with a takeaway and a bottle of wine because the cabin was so well appointed.
