Terrace Hostel & Lounge Bar

I felt very comfortable in this hostel because the staff are really very nice and the central location is of course excellent. I stayed here for a total of four days and one morning I also tried the included breakfast. It is prepared individually and consists of an egg, two slices of bread, jam, a piece of cheese, some cucumber and tomato. It tastes very good and is fresh. The staff were even kind enough to store my backpack safely for two days while I left the hostel. The air conditioning works, the facilities are new and functional, and there are power sockets at the bed. There is also a rooftop bar and the prices are very cheap.

The only downsides are that there are no curtains at the beds and, due to the central location, it is naturally quite noisy outside. The hostel has only two bathrooms for all guests (each with one shower and one toilet), which can lead to waiting times — if someone is using the toilet you can’t shower, and vice versa. In the kitchen, cutlery such as knives and forks and some other utensils were missing. As far as I could tell, the toilets are only cleaned in the mornings. Despite these points, I had a good stay and would return.

Room are new and spacious

The main business is clearly the bar upstairs, not the hostel. Guest attention is practically nonexistent: despite contacting them in advance about my bus to Theth, I ended up waiting 7 hours, repeatedly going upstairs, and only managed to get the ticket at 10 p.m. (the bus was scheduled for 7). They had promised both me and other guests that it would be possible to have an early breakfast (normally served from 7 a.m.) and assured us (insistently saying “yeah, no worries, no worries”) a lady would be there starting at 6. However, when I left at 6:45, no one was present and all of us left without breakfast. I don’t think I’d stay again
