Gwythendros

We really enjoyed our stay in the Gwythendros bungalow, which is in a very quiet location in Paul village, close to Mousehole. It is handy for several routes leading to many local sites in southern Cornwall. and the King's Arms pub in the village serves excellent food and craft beers, as does The Ship in Mousehole, though the service was much slower there. The bungalow has a very spacious living area and bathroom with the bedroom being a cosy, but comfortable size. The off-road parking at the bungalow was a real plus point, though there is a narrow shared lane, with a tight corner to access the bungalow, so any very large SUVs or long estate cars would struggle. We managed carefully, with a Porsche Cayman. Shelly and Nev are lovely hosts, and there was milk in the fridge for our arrival, as well as tea, coffee, sugar and a few other cupboard items, which was a welcoming touch, and would stay there again, if holidaying in the area.

Even though the shared lane is very narrow, we did manage by being very slow and careful, but it would have helped if the vegetation growing on either side of the lane had been trimmed right back to the walls and fences it was covering to provide more width and also reveal the hard structures underneath, to make it easier to see the true available space.

A wonderful little place, clean, modern and spacious, plenty enough for 2 and our little doggie! All the equipment we needed. We were very lucky with the weather so could have benefited from having a fan in the property. The supply of condiments is a nice touch. Quiet and peaceful with lovely field views and good location to be able to visit several places. Beautiful scenery a short drive away and walking opportunities

The place was very well decorated and looked after. Great shower. We really liked the quiet rural setting - being able to sit out with a view of fields - but with an easy walk down into Mousehole.

We'd have liked more cutlery and crockery - basic sets of 4 meant we had to keep washing up!

Property was very well finished off. Warm, comfy. All we needed. The host had pre advised me on road closures, so it made it less difficult to get to the village. Parking was immediately in-front of the property. The local pub did great food. Only a short walk down to Mousehole and the coast path. Very peaceful.
