Esens and Bensersiel on the North Sea A vacation like a lovely summer breeze
The “Sommerwind” vacation rental is located on a very quiet side street north of the downtown area of the historic “Bear Town” of Esens, in the resort town of Esens-Bensersiel. Our house is set back from the traffic, yet only a five-minute walk from downtown Esens with all the amenities you’d expect to find there.
The North Sea spa town of Bensersiel and the beach are just four kilometers away and are located directly on the unique natural wonder that is the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park,” a “UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site” since 2009.
The vacation rental is ideal for a quiet and cozy vacation for two to four people.
The “Sommerwind” vacation rental is tastefully and very comfortably furnished and features high-quality amenities. Spanning approximately 70 square meters, it features a living room, a separate, very well-equipped kitchen—including a dishwasher and microwave—two bedrooms, both with double beds, a large bathroom with a shower, bathtub, and two sinks, as well as a separate toilet. The sheltered balcony is covered.
We’d be happy to tell you about other attractions in our cozy and charming “Bear City,” which is over 475 years old and features a historic city center. For example, we also have plenty of events—both large and small—and museums.
For example, you can bike right across the idyllic marshlands along the Benser Tief
to Bensersiel and on to the dike, the sea, and the beach. Of course, you can get there in five minutes by car, but by bike you’ll reach the sea and Bensersiel after about 3.5 kilometers in complete tranquility, having already breathed in plenty of healthy sea air, and you’ll be able to especially enjoy the beach and the many tourist, spa, and vacation facilities.
In general, our location is ideal for long walks, bike rides, and explorations of East Frisia’s unique natural landscape. This way, you can enjoy an active yet relaxing vacation on the North Sea and make the most of the North Sea’s invigorating climate.
The North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel has plenty to offer for relaxation, sports, and recreation—for example, swimming pools, tennis courts, surfing spots along the dike, fitness facilities, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities, and much more.
Take day trips to the East Frisian Islands and visit numerous old mills, museums, exhibitions, and other cultural highlights. Or take your children to Werdum to visit the “Pet Park,” home to many small animals from all over the world. Or head to Neuharlingersiel. There, among other attractions in this North Sea spa town, you’ll find “Platschi,” the fantastic water play area right in the middle of the beach.
