A North Sea vacation in Esens-Bensersiel in a bright, welcoming vacation rental
The vacation rental “Wattgeflüster” is located in an extremely quiet cul-de-sac in a desirable residential neighborhood in the North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel, near the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park.”
The vacation rental is cozy, lovingly decorated, welcoming, and bright, as well as comfortably furnished and well-equipped with modern amenities. It measures approximately 60 square meters and is ideal for two to four people, plus an additional toddler. Amenities include a terrace with patio furniture and a grill, a private toll-free line and Wi-Fi connection, a washing machine, a dryer, and a refrigerator.
The “Wattgeflüster” vacation apartment is located on the western edge of the historic knight’s town of Esens in the North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel. In one direction, you can reach the city center by bike in just under five minutes, where you’ll find all the amenities you’d expect—it’s about a ten-minute walk.
We’d be happy to tell you about all the interesting places to visit in our cozy and picturesque “Bear Town” of Esens, which is over 475 years old and features a historic town center, as well as the “highlights” of the North Sea spa town of Bensersiel. For example, there are plenty of events—both big and small—and museums to explore. Or you can simply enjoy some peace and quiet right here in and around the house.
In the other direction, you can leave Esens and, for example, bike right through the idyllic marshlands and perhaps even along the “Benser Tief” to Bensersiel. A beautiful hiking and biking trail—part of the East Frisia Hiking Trail—runs right past our property. So, you just have to “jump on,” so to speak. This way, you’ll reach the beach feeling relaxed and refreshed. Or you can start your bike ride or hike right here.
Of course, you can also get there in just a few minutes by car (and, best of all, completely away from regular traffic), but by bike, depending on the route you choose, you’ll reach the sea and Bensersiel in about 3 to 6 kilometers in complete tranquility—you’ll have already breathed in plenty of healthy sea air and will be able to especially enjoy the beach and the many tourist, spa, and vacation facilities.
Our location is ideal for long walks, bike rides, and explorations of East Frisia’s unique natural landscape. This way, you can enjoy an active yet relaxing vacation on the North Sea and make the most of the North Sea’s invigorating climate.
By car, you can reach Bensersiel or the North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel in 5 to 10 minutes. You can also easily reach both of these towns—or the North Sea spa towns—by bus.
The North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel has plenty to offer for relaxation, sports, and recreation—for example, beaches with playgrounds and beach chairs, swimming pools, tennis courts, surfing spots along the dike, fitness facilities, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities, and much more.

In Bensersiel, visit the “Sonneninsel” North Sea Thermal Baths, a modern, heated water park and leisure facility.
