The enthusiasm of the owner! Help with what to see. We were in the 2nd property very close to the sea. Rooms here had little kitchen too
Had to walk to their other property for breakfast. Don’t think I understood this when I booked. Ok if not raining

Unique property with so many interesting WWII artefacts collected with passion by the owners. Location was perfect for visiting all the museums etc. in Arromanches. Private parking was much appreciated. Friendly welcome and great continental breakfast.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay that's packed full of D-Day aviation memorabilia, this is the place. Some of the itens on show, like the ME109 engine used as a table support in the dining room, are very unusual (and interesting). Wi-fi is OK, beds and showers OK too.
Breakfast is expensive for what it delivers (and costs). The public parking across from the hotel costs EUR2.50/hour between 9am and 7pm. Its spaces are tight!

Fun! I am so happy we got to stay here at the DDay Aviators but also the village itself. We were on a tour and happened upon staying here and it was a highlight of a fantastic tour.
The Owner and Staff were very helpful, the property is filled with wonders all related to the area and history.

Great location right in the centre to the museum and beaches Jean Marie took us out on a private guided tour in his Willys Jeep very informative and fun

It felt like traveling through time.
Is like spending the night in a WWll museum, the owner is a passionate collector of original items and the rooms are keeping somehow the styke of the 40’s . He can tell interesting stories about each item. The breakfast is good and the parking safe ( you must reserve in advance I think as it’s a small parking)
The rooms could use some blinds or thick curtains behind the existent ones (half darkening) for people who need completely dark to sleep. Further nothing, we recommand this original and charming small hotel

Beautiful rooms and amazingly unique hotel with an astounding collection of WW2 artifacts. This is a must stay for history lovers.
The bedroom itself was gorgeous and tastefully decorated, the bathroom was also stunning with a lovely waterfall shower. Everything is finished to a high standard. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel!

I think there was ample free street parking yet we were told we needed to pay for private parking. Could have saved us some money!
Also internet in bedroom was spotty, was better in common area.

The location close to Gold Beach is great. The hotel has so much history to look at. It was like staying in a museum.
There were a lot of stairs, but it was fine.

Nothing at all. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Unique artifacts from WWII. Central location in town
Sheets scratchy in B1. No one in office to check out, tracked down a maid and handed her our keys, not quite sure what we were supposed to do.

Owner was very nice and showed us his collection of war artifacts upon our arrival. The room was nice and clean. Although the B&B is walking distance to the beach and the museum, the location is quiet. The coffee machine in the room was a nice touch.
Parking is a real issue in this property. Both B&B (two separate buildings) are situated close to the beach and the war museum. Parking in the area comes at a very high premium. 12 hours in the public parking lot - which is just in front of the main building - costs 35 Euro for 12 hours. The lot is small, crowded and very tight to maneuver. We were delighted to have gotten one of the property three parking spaces at no extra cost (which may not be the case to patrons who book during the high season.) Parking is a highly stressful issue in this very touristy seaside town and I would not recommend this property to car renters. We declined breakfast, which at 16 Euro a piece seemed pricey for a glorified cup of coffee with a bit of this and a bit of that. A pastry shop near by offered lovely croissants.

What a great place to stay. The owners could not have been more helpful or informative. The room was lovely and had the best night sleep for ages. If you are a D Day history buff then this is definitely the place to stay (even if you are not you can't help but become fascinated by the history of the artefacts in the hotel and of Arromanche itself). Great place - loved it!

The sympathy of the hostess is just amazing. And the whole hotel is so well decorated with original WWII pieces that you feel emerged in history. Totally recommend it.

We came to the area for history so this was everything we hoped for. It was like living in an WWII museum to Aviation. Historic artifacts were everywhere. Walk out the front door turn left and there’s the English Channel full of Mulberry’s left from WWII. Ann-Florence was our super host along with her dog Hunter. She was so kind and willing to help with any request we had ❤️. Lovely breakfast too!
Not high end luxury if that’s what you’re looking but character galore. Little tricky to find it’s down an alley.

Super friendly owners showed us all the ins and outs of their adorable little B and B they own. Great location! Great history! Very comfortable! Each room has a kitchenette. Highly recommend. The owners treated us like we were family and I have never felt so welcomed somewhere!
No issues.
