Peaceful comfortable relaxing stay absolutely heaven

Fabulous week long stay!

I’ve been holidaying to Barmouth since I was a little girl, so I’m well familiar with Barmouth and Talybont, however this was my first time staying on Barmouth Bay (as a child we stayed on a park further up the road but still close enough to use The Sands facilities), I stayed here as per my parents recommendations as they’ve been staying on Barmouth Bay for close to a decade now, and this was my first holiday here in a while, bringing my own children and my husband for the first time. I found the caravan here on booking.com a year ago and booked straight away, I was blown away by the photos and how modern this caravan is especially compared to what I’m used to staying in. When we arrived, it was a more cloudy day so I didn’t get to have that initial look around and left my husband to it and did the drive to portmadog to get groceries from Aldi (There’s a coop in Barmouth and a Spar and butchers down the road in Talybont if you’re not up for that drive), so my first look at the caravan was when it was actually unpacked and set up for our week. It definitely felt like home from home, the location is stunning, we had the best view and my kids loved waking up to sheep in the field every day. The caravan was spotless and it’s incredibly spacious too, three bedrooms and a total of 5 beds is amazing. I did request a travel cot last year and we decided that we’d use it as a fail safe (this was our youngests first time in a bigger bed and we brought the rail you can see in the photos with us to try her on it, she’s never slept so well before so the travel cot wasn’t actually used in the end). The welcome pack is helpful for people unfamiliar with holidaying in Barmouth, and it came in helpful for us when we needed to see a doctor when my daughter had an allergic reaction (unrelated to the caravan stay), so we were certainly grateful for it.

There wasn’t much to dislike, others have pointed out the issue of ants on the decking, I think this is a bit unavoidable with where the caravan is located and the type of decking that they’re using at the minute, the ant killer worked for us, I only had to put it down twice during our entire week long stay, the weather was glorious so it probably helped that the decking was also dry all week. Besides that there’s nothing of note to say is something to dislike.

Excellent holiday

It's exactly as it says, was great and really clean. Has everything you need for a group of people. We gave my mom the double bedded room with the onsuite toilet, and we took a room each. I would recommend this place to anyone. The local places to eat Dylons nineteen 57 and Ysgethin Inn have amazing food and would highly recommend a visit. Many thanks to the owners as this place was great and soooo quite.

Little problem of a group of ants on the decking, found ant powder under the sink and resolved in 2 mins this wasn't a problem as everything was perfect

Fantastic break

The caravan was in a fantastic spot just a short walk from the beach. Lovely and peaceful, far away enough from the main entertainment area but close enough to enjoy a little walk if you wanted to go there. The property was immaculate and spotless. We had an amazing short stay. Everything so easy to navigate due to good instructions from owners. Everything you could need was already in the property for you. Will definitely go back for longer so we can use the bbq!!

Only a small niggle - the dishwasher was still full from the last residents but not a deal breaker. The weather couldve been better but then again we were in Wales and that is mother nature not the properties fault lol. The biggest thing I didnt like was that we didnt have long enough there....amazing

Great holiday place to stay !

The location was at great place. Very close to beach. High street was near by. Louise is an amazing host. She was available whenever I had messaged her. The property is nice clean modern n stylish. With all the basic facilities. They added so much personal touch. Kitchen was well equipped. Rooms were nice n clean. They have Starkink space x wifi at the property. The daytime download speed is 250mbps n night time is 300mbps. We enjoyed watching movie on Netflix as well. The back view outside is amazing. Sheep’s grazing and wandering is so pretty to look at. We enjoyed a lot staying there and would recommend her to everyone. Private and calm place.

Ants. Lots of ants. We used the ant killer but it didn’t really help. I end up vacuum them but they came again. It’s the location that has this issue.

Wonderful tranquil van stay!

What a lovely position this caravan is in 👌 away from the amusements and playground on the site making it quiet and peaceful! With views of a field with a few sheep it’s fab to sit and relax 😍 clean and comfy, a home from home. Loved it! 🥰

Liked everything! Top tips on what to take - quick drying microfibre towels work well, a bath mat, tea towels, foil, cling film, kitchen roll, extra loo roll, your own food/drink supplies 👍

Lovely stay

Love the location although on a park with many other static homes it has a lovely view. The sea minutes away was a highlight for us. The accommodation was comfortable and endearing.

Best caravan I've ever stayed in

Everything I needed for SC this van has.. it was mins to the beach witch was brilliant for me as I was on crutches from my knee operation. So we had the sea one side and the hills the other side . We were that pleased with it, the first day we were there, we were rebooking another stay for sept . The site is close to the railway and close to Barmouth.

I had a smile on my face from getting there , untill I left.. so there there was nothing I didn't like , well other than the weather.
