This apartment was absolutely perfect for a one night stay in Cambridge - it was central, clean, very cute, nicely decorated and had everything needed. Plenty of information sent beforehand, very clear information on how to collect the keys (with photos to aid), and the place itself was lovely. Really appreciated that there was a fan there given how hot it was, but all the other amenities were perfect, everything worked, not a single issue with the place itself. Would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay again!
Not a criticism of the place at all as out of host's control, but just a note for people staying - parking is not very good at all as most of it is 2hrs min and for residents. The Queen Anne Terrace Parking Lot was a ten minute walk around the corner and the best option as cost only £9 overnight.

Location was okay. the issue is with the Pub across the road. Alot of noise/people until midnight.
the issue is with the Pub across the road. Alot of noise/people until midnight..
Its actual a studio, was expecting a one bed flat. Various bits need attention. eg bathroom door latch, it very difficult to get out of the bathroom. Bathroom also had bad smells. Some lights were not working.

This was one of the worst check in experiences of my life. I booked this appartment on line and was sent the details, went to the correct street , the correct house number, I put the gate code in, it opened , went to the key box as described: it wouldn't open , tried 10 times as did friend but no key !!!
I called the Hosts who told me I was at the wrong postcode , they gave me a different post code, which I couldn't find, rang again got given a 3rd postcode that was 8 miles away and not City Centre. I did not go to that postcode. I called Booking.com who confirmed my booking but rather than try to help they told me to call another number. I've never had such a terrible experience trying to get into an appartment. I didn't get in and now I am having to fight booking.com to get a refund , can you believe it !
They refuse to refund me until they can verify my "story" with the Host . They have not been able to contact the host and it's now over a week , im out of pocket because booking.com don't believe me , a level 3 customer, they would rather keep me waiting for a refund and insist on speaking to a host that clearly doesn't want to speak to them. "Customer Last " . I've given them over a week to sort and I'm doing all the chasing. I thought I'd let anyone thinking about a booking know my experience as it's a battle I don't want to fight but booking.com and the host seem happy to keep me waiting for my refund so what alternatives do I have at this stage. I wouId expect a full refund by now and then issues with the host sorted between the two companies, but they want me involved for some reason so I'm going to tell my side of the story to other booking.com customers as no one from there is listening to me.

Comfortable bed, convenient location
Lock box code was wrong. Bathroom smelt and soap was empty. Blind was broken. Lots of noise from the street/pub.

Convenient location and spacious. Comfortable bed.
Access code was incorrect. It had been changed without notice. The general condition was a grubby. Light bulbs didn’t work and the switch for the bathroom was in a dangerous condition. Tea and coffee were promised in the description, but there was none. There were no toiletries either.

The sofa could be converted into a bed for a 3rd person.
The Studio is in an old building across from a pub so there was noise till late in the night. It is a bit of a walk to the city centre.
When we arrived, the towels were wet, no clean sheet for the sofa / bed, no dish washing liquid and bath soap. We informed the host and he arranged it eventually. The quality of the towels and bedsheets was poor. There was a duvet cover but no duvet for the other bed and it was uncomfortable for the person sleeping there as it was cold in the night. We stayed for 3 nights. After facing so much inconvenience, we requested the host to allow us one extra hour to check out and give us time till 11.00 am but he refused saying it will cost 20/- Pounds.
Overall, not a very pleasant experience.

The apartment was fine
The area was terrible, the entrance downstairs was filthy and it stunk, and, it was overpriced.
I messaged the property the day of checkin with the issues, I got no response and had to message again the next day.
We didn't stay because of the smell and bad area, asked for a partial refund and were told no, and that I should have contacted them on the day...which I did.
Would not recommend!

I really liked the location, the staff (we were allowed to drop our bags at the property before the check-in time)
The neighbours were terrible. We couldn’t sleep till 4 am because of the music, noise and banging on the walls.

The owner was responsive enough, though not very helpful.
The entrance area before and after entering the building is filthy and messy, basically lack of care.
The ground floor door lock is a joke. Once it's open you can't get the key out.
As we entered the flat we were bombarded by the strong sickly smell from the plugged in artificial air freshener, it was so unbearable that we had to leave the flat with windows open and fan on, it was still bad when we returned hours later. We then discovered the source and unplugged the unit from the socket, it took two days for the smell to go.
Noisy every night from the pub with people drinking outside in the open space directly opposite from the flat, till late. People gathered on the street just below to talk at 3am.
Less than one full roll of toilet paper was provided for two of us staying for 3 nights.
The pots and pans are Teflon scratched and dirty. One pan was even unwashed, with dried up old oil still in the pan.
No tea towel provided.
Hair was found in one of the towels. Certainly not our hair.

It was a really nice stay had all the appliances needed for a couple nights stay away.
My partner was ill during our last night stay and the host was extremely understanding and helpful which really made the experience
There’s not really anything to say.
Maybe come more towels available but there’s nothing that stands out this property was a gem and I will definitely be coming back

Great little find and met our expectations. Bin collection a bit noisy early on a Thursday morning, but it needs to be done.
We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Cambridge.

Comfortable bed. Flat looked nice. Close to shops and cafes.
Overlooked a pub so if you didn’t close curtains people in pub garden could see in. It was also a bit noisy due to the pub. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell. The shower was very weak.

The property was really easy to find, great location not far to walk from the city. Clean in the apartment. Comfortable beds and great price.
There could have been just a few more amenities in the apartment, such as an extra toilet roll 2 rolls between 3 people would have been better and a tea towel. We had a sponge and washing up liquid but could dry anything up. And we were only given 3 towels which we didn’t want to use to dry the clean plates and cutlery up once we had use them to shower. Also fixing of the blinds- the little window the blind was broken and the door didn’t have one. Just to keep the day light out a little longer in the morning. The checkout time being 11 would be better too, could enjoy the space for long enough.
