Very comfortable, nice decor and good location.

The cottage is absolutely a little gem. There is everything in the cottage that you need to make your stay the best ever. I cannot fault anything. Apart from the fact we only stayed for two nights. This was the second visit to Holmlea Cottage and it won’t be the last.

Everything about the property is of high quality and comfortable. Therefore there isn’t anything to not like.

A very well equipped and beautiful cottage. The cottage is stunning and is one of those rare places where the reality more than lives up to the description and the photographs. The location is excellent for being able to stroll into the centre and is easy to get to and from in the car if you are going further afield. The bed is extremely comfortable, including the pillows (which I feel often let a place down). What was most impressive though was the provision of tea, coffee, milk, butter, herbs, spices and salt and pepper mills. We only stopped the one night but could easily have stayed longer.

The only downside is that the outdoor space isn't great. There is an enclosed courtyard at the back you can use but to get to it you have to go out the front door and down an alley. Very minor niggle though and to be expected given how central the cottage is.
