The aroma of coffee beans drying on the patio whilst enjoying the view towards Pico island! Great host and stunning location.

Drive to the coastal area of the property is bendy and single lane in places. (It is well surfaced though)

Die Unterkunft von Dan hat eine außergewöhnliche Lage mit wunderschönem Weitblick aufs Meer, inzwischen seines tollen Obst- und Pflanzengartens. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, auch genügend Handtücher, Shampoo etc. alles vorhanden. Dan hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch auf der Insel, werden wir wieder kommen. Absolute Empfehlung!

This is a lovely property nestled on a hillside in the middle of the countryside. It has lovely views and is really quiet. Dan, the host, is very friendly and helpful. He helped with luggage and gave us advice on what we could do nearby. He provided a lovely welcome basket with bread and local cheese, honey from his neighbour’s bees and fruit from the garden. It was a lovely personal touch. The house was confortable and well equipped. There was air con in the hall and ceiling fans in the bedrooms which kept us comfortable. We enjoyed using the outdoor bbq area which had a roof so the rain didn’t spoil our plans.

Like many areas of Sao Jorge the roads down to the property are quite windy with lots of turns so care is needed. There is a steep bumpy path down to the house which would be a problem if you have mobility issues. Dan kindly assists with luggage on arrival and departure.
