Casa Marta, Corfu Old Town

Location of the apartment couldnt be better. Very close to bars and restaurants, old town and places to swim. The apartment is in an old building and has been done very nicely.

We were told someone would meet us at the apartment to check us in, but when we arrived no one was there and we were expected to wait outside in a thunderstorm for them to arrive. The electricity turns off everytime you leave the apartment as the fob required to turn it on is also the key. This means there is no way for one person to go out without major inconvenience for everyone else. Please consider a second fob. It also means you cant charge things when you are out. Then during our time there we tried to use the washing machine but it broke with our wet washing inside. Again this was due to the electricity cutting off when we went put. It took days to get it resolved and the staff really werent that interested in helping and even threatened to charge us for it. I constantly had to message and call to get the issue resolved. The communal stairs are smelly, hot, untidy and very uneven. I understand this isnt the responsibility of the apartment owner but it is actually quite a hazard. The birds nesting and making noise all night which a previous guest reported have still not been resolved ..bring earplugs.

Location, balcony view, local vibe. Perfect for weekend getaways where you’ll be spending all of your days outside. Looks just like the pictures; the balcony view even better. Shout-out to Vasileios for an in-person welcome to the flat and lots of tips for eating out.

A flock of birds is nested right below the bedroom window and they shriek all night. Bring good ear plugs!

To much light in the bedroom no proper curtains shutters don’t keep the light out awake very early in the morning. No toaster and a lot of stairs to get to the apartment lift very small and very hot 🥵

sehr positiv bzw. traumhaft: Der Blick. Die Lage. charmant: Der schöne Holzfußboden, die alten Fenster. vollkommen OK: Das Bett. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung sehr sauber. Die Agentur war aufmerksam und freundlich.

Die Sanitär-Einrichtungen sollten demnächst mal wieder erneuert werden, hier und da kleinere Defekte: Abfluss-Stopfen Waschbecken, Klobrille bisschen kaputt, Duschkabine mit loser Dichtung, ... Unzeitgemäß: Für Warmwasser muss ein Boiler 10-15 Minuten vorher manuell aktiviert werden. Folgende Punkte haben uns sehr gestört und führten letzlich zur schlechten Bewertung: Das desolat wirkende Treppenhaus/Fahrstuhl bzw. der Gesamtzustand des Gebäudes. Bei Nutzung der Waschmaschine kommt Abwasser aus dem Abfluss im Badezimmer-Boden hoch, manchmal so viel, dass der Boden bis zur Toilette hin überschwemmt ist. Die Sanitär-Einrichtungen sind unserer Meinung nach für den Preis in einem unangemessenem Zustand.
