Isidora's House by Corfuescapes

We loved everything about this apartment - its location overlooking the most charming square, its proximity to the old port and the waterfront, the beautiful way it’s been renovated with so much attention to detail, the fact it’s on the first floor so only one flight of stairs to go up, the comfortable beds, the adorable little balcony, the high ceilings - literally everything! It was also easy to find (there’s a little heart-shaped sign saying Isidora’s House on the front door) and the communication from Corfu Escapes was excellent. Just wish we could have stayed for longer!

It was probably explained to us but I didn’t remember so we had to figure it out for ourselves. The hot water has to be turned on and the control panel is just behind the door of the main bedroom. You just need to flick the switch marked ‘h/w’ and it heats up very quickly.

Location was great. There was a lot of room. The kitchen utilities were good. It was clean where it mattered.

The plumbing in the shower was bad. The water didn't flow away properly, so while showering, I had to turn off the water periodically and wait for the water to drain. The company send a person to fix it, but there were no positive changes. Sound isolation was bad and I slept with ear plugs. The wooden floor was very skewed and made a lot of noise.

Isidores House is a great location to arrive and depart from and perfectly located to explore all of Old Town Corfu. We found the accomodation to be bright and fresh and clean and fully equiped for anyone wishing to cook or relax indoors. The small juliet balcony was perfectly charming to enable a couple of chairs to sit just to the inside but enjoy the sun and plaza terrace views below. The location is excellent for taxi arrival which is best option for drop offs and collect only a stones throw from the property. The Corfu Old Town is literally on your doorstep and the little restaurant immediately viewed from the balcony is a charming family run business that does a very authentic Mousakka which is not always easy to find. The checking in and out of the property through whats app was excellent throughout our stay. Corfu Town is very walkable and the choices for Dining and Drinking are endless. 😎 Enjoy

Only observation we had was just to be careful at top of stairs as the walkway is just a little narrow at this point( we simply put the clothes airer up as a "baby gate" type visual aid so we were always aware of the top step. Probably not a problem for 99% of visitors but it worked for us and avoided any drinks spills en route to the balcony.🤣
