Cozy apartment next to Old Riga

Easy tram and bus stops nearby to get to airport/bus station. 10 min walk to Old Riga Quick responses from host. Free onsite parking Kitchen is reasonably stocked with essential cooking tools.

Terrible smell when you enter, diffusers are everywhere. It was essential to open windows as soon as you enter. Had to wait 24 hr for a router to be installed so there was wifi as advertised. No hooks in bedroom or good places to put bag. Missed that it is ground floor, right by entrance to building, you hear the neighbors a lot, everyone is walking by so curtains must stay closed. Could use a good clean, every corner, light etc had cob webs and dust, finger prints. Washed dishes before using them as non appeared really clean. Was asked to leave cash for city tax, but booking.com said it was included. Host also asked me to not leave a bad review, but I think honesty is best.

Nice and cozy apartment , also smart TV with Youtube and Netflix, that u can’t find in mostly places. Convenient location to everywhere. P.S very quick respond of the owner, very good support!

The host was super friendly and responsive, giving us info about sightseeing in Riga. Easy check-in with the code. Free parking around. Apt. on the ground floor. The bed was comfortable and it is quite area.

The location is near the city (ca. 15min walking across the bridge), but the neighborhood itself is a bit run down, especially the street in front of the building. Obviously the host can not do anything about it. It was a very rainy period so I guess this has caused some smell inside the building.

I didnt like the fact that I was asked to leave money in the apartment for " tourist tax " I found this completely unfair to have to pay for this and it should be included with the price. Surely with the amount I spent for the place they can afford to pay for it. Was not mentioned in the description of the booking before I was booked ..was asked less than 24hr before I had to check out that I needed to pay extra for tourist tax. I dont like hidden fees..this should definitely be brought to the tenants attention way before time to check out.
