Great location Studios - 5min to Old Town

Really great location near Old Town, shop and public transport just steps away. Cozy studio equipped with all essential appliances for a comfortable stay.

A very nice, cozy, and comfortable studio, renovated with a good taste. The location is really great. Also the bed/mattress was very good, hard enough, and there was a lot of space to store clothes and other personal items. Wi-fi worked perfectly. The studio was very clean. My host Luize replied my phone call upon arrival, when I could not find the studio door key (even the cleaning lady personally stopped by after my key problem, to make sure everything was O.K.), and replied my messages (SMS) concerning the heating/equipment and my check-out confirmation. Luize also sent me the invoice (because my stay in Riga was for work), although I let her know I would not need it. I really appreciate all of that.

The bedroom part lacked night lamps by the bed and the bulb in a floor lamp there was broken - the ceiling light switch was far from the bed, which was very inconvenient. The wall clock in the kitchen part had a dead battery and I missed a wooden cutting board. I asked for these things (namely a new bulb and a new battery) and Luize indirectly promised it, but did not do it during my stay. It should probably be mentioned in the advertisement in which months the heating is turned off (I had to work from the studio and I was cold there in some days).

For my purpose to attend a conference in the National Library, the location could not be better. 5 minutes walking distance. Also in terms of eating out - old town was just over the bridge. Given how large Riga is, this was all well within walking distance.

It would be nice for late arrivals to have some snacks and/or a beer or wine waiting on the premises. It is a small additional cost, but leaves so much better first impression. The interior of the apartment needs refurbishing, especially the flooring. Windows could have additional light-blocking curtains (cheap from IKEA, for example) - helps to sleep better in the open studio. I noticed the lack of lighting and electrical outlets next the bed - maybe an extension cord bringing sockets closer + small LED lamp would be an easy fix.

La ubicación, puedes aparcar junto al alojamiento de forma gratuita y llegas andando en 10 min. al centro histórico, sólo hay que cruzar el puente. El apartamento es bonito, está reformada y decorado con gusto y es funcional, pero para 2 personas, no para una familia de 4. Tiene una cocina con los utensilios necesarios, e incluso dispone de lavadora y un colgador de pie. La cama y el sofá cama son cómodos.

El apartamento está en un edificio muy viejo de estilo soviético, el portal y las escaleras dan hasta miedo, bastante destartalado. Es un piso alto, no hay ascensor y cuesta subir con el equipaje. En el baño hay mucho olor a humedad e incluso las toallas (son bastante finas, no secan bien) y la ropa de cama huelen a humedad. Es pequeño para 4 personas, no hay sitio para moverse apenas, ya que está todo junto, la cocina, la mesa y sillas, el sofá cama, armario y la cama. Si abres el sofá cama ya no hay sitio ni para moverse. Se agradece que hay lavadora, pero ya hay bastante humedad allí como para poner ropa lavada en un colgador de pie, sería conveniente poner una lavadora-secadora.
