Our hosts met us onsite and immediately made us feel at home. There were many nice thoughtful touches and additions which were very welcome. The location is excellent, central but quiet. The terrace has a great view and is a great advantage. I thoroughly recommend this apartment and our gracious friendly hosts

The apartment was lovely and had everything you could need. It was in a great location and had a beautiful roof terrace with views over the port. Our hosts, Mario and Jacopo, were very welcoming, giving us recommendations for places to visit, restaurant’s etc and Mario even baked us a lovely cake.

The lovely hosts made our check in so easy. It was very hot and we requested early check in, or, if not possible, to drop our bags. We were able to drop our bags, which Jacopo helped bring up the stairs. (My husband had a very heavy cricket bag after a 3 week cricket tour, so the help was very much appreciated!) Jacopo messaged us as soon as the apartment was ready. A delicious fig tart, baked by Mario, awaited us. A fridge full of treats, plenty of water, excellent coffee pod machine with ample coffee pods, pantry staples, (all at no extra cost), excellent air con, and a comfortable bed were all very welcome. An excellent recycling system for all sorts of materials was in place, great to see. 2 minutes walk from the main shopping street, endless options to eat. A very good supermarket 5 minutes walk away. A gorgeous terrace on the roof gave great views over the bay. All in all, a brilliant choice. A few things to keep in mind. There is no lift, so if you really struggle with stairs, keep this in mind. We are in our early 60s and had no problem at all. Being from Australia, a few little things were different but we got the hang of things like the toaster very quickly! One set of keys, which are required to keep the lights and air con working, so if one of us went out and wanted to be let in, press the outside apartment button and the person in the apartment presses a little button next to the phone to open the outside door. Not being apartment dwellers, we didn't figure that out haha...lots of up and down the stairs! A final parting gift of home made jam and some Sicilian soap from the hosts was the perfect finish. Please book this place. It was wonderful.

It is a wonderful apartment in the heart of Ortigia, one step away from everything you need. The flat is well-equipped, nice furnitured, honestly it’s a place to move in and feel home… Jacopo and Mario are just awesome welcoming people, their hospitality is just exemplary. The nice treats, cold beverages and excellent advises after an exhausting flight and ride are priceless. Thank you, mille grazie, any time again!
