For Students Only - St Davids in Swansea

There is a strange smell in the room, it seems like a kind of perfume, but I don't like it that much.

The location was great, and the facilities in the room are perfect for a student. Plenty of space to work and great wifi. Excellent value for money.

I have stayed here a few times and facilities can vary. I've stayed in Block F and had an apartment to myself, well equipped and spotless kitchen. This time I stayed in D, and was sharing with other students. There was no crockery or cutlery allocated to my room. The kitchen was piled up with dirty dishes. Work surfaces were dirty. If I wanted a cup of tea I had to wash up someone else's mug. I was just unlucky this time.

I enjoyed being able to wash my clothes, the gym was lovely and simple.

There weren't any spray or towels to wipe the equipment with. I found 3 silverfish in my room during my stay.

I liked the location of the accommodation as a whole, being close to the city centre and it's walkable. I liked the rooms like the cinema, laundry, hub and places one can chill. I like how there are flats for a small number of people and I like some, only some of the staff there.

I didn't like the room. The building/room was consistently hot like boiling oven even when the window was open. Even if there was a snowstorm, I think the room would still be hot. The building elevator was broken throughout my stay, didnt feel like they had plans to fix it. It only ever went to the 3rd floor when going down. The room looked quite old, and the bed spread was dusty as heck. There was a certain weird smell in the bathroom when I moved in weird stains on the floor. The charging points in the room don't make sense. Most of what was in the room was old. The window was barely a window. When I moved in, I was offered no help whatsoever and I mean it's not like I wanted them to help me carry my luggage but they literally watched me struggle constantly and just stared at me, it was eveb the students there that helped me out and they don't even work there. The whole situation where I needed boxes picked up, and the reception couldn't help just keep them, basically being quite rude, not even a little but of empathy. Overall, I hope I never that building, the people, and experience that ever again. Ya'll need to do better with all the money yall be taking.
