The property has a special charm that mirrors the uniqueness of San Gimignano. The hosts were very good to take us to the accomodation and explain how to park outside the walls and get to their apartment. They also make excellent wine

We checked in at the stunning Pietraserena winery where we were warmly welcomed by Elena and offered a glass of wine while the paperwork was completed. We followed her to the parking location where we left our car, much helped by the thoughtfully provided car park voucher (be sure to request well in advance of your visit). She walked us the few minutes to the apartment where she showed us around and explained all we needed to know. The apartment is a beautifully renovated old building, recently transformed (with excellent attention to detail) into a tastefully chic and stylish residence. The entrance hall leads past a modern and clean laundry room with new washing machine and dryer, and discrete toilet and bidet, to stairs up to the kitchen. This was fully equipped with a nice big fridge, microwave, coffee machine etc. Waiting for us were a complementary bottle of lovely wine and breakfast croissants to accompany coffee in the morning. Up the next stairs are the 2 bedrooms which were exceedingly comfortable with pristine bedding, plenty of storage, and efficient air conditioning in both rooms. The bathroom has a good shower and a generous set of towels. Everything we needed for our stay had been thought of, e.g. ground coffee, sugar, kitchen towels, washing machine detergent, Wi-Fi etc etc. As a bonus, an enchanting ‘Etruscan cave’ could be accessed down a mysterious and compelling flight of steps from the entrance hall, where we could enjoy a secret glass of wine before heading out to the beautiful city for the evening. Elena, Maria and Roberto at Pietraserena couldn’t have been more helpful throughout and we felt truly welcome. Oh, and we highly recommend an extra visit to Pietraserena where the lunch and accompanying wine were outstanding. We felt more like friends than guests and can’t wait to go back. Thank you Elena, Maria and Roberto for making our first visit to San Gimignano so special.

Style decor location access parking feel
Stairs, we' re old. Needs a lounge. Just don't know where to put it. Add says 2 bathrooms I interpreted that to mean 2 full bathrooms not just a second toilet.
