Villa Aurora Lovina

We enjoyed our visit at Villa Aurora Lovina and give it a 10 for both its cost efficiency and loveliness of the property. The gardens and pool are so beautiful and well-tended. We really enjoyed the pool in the evenings after a hot day of touring the area. The location was ideal and a major factor selecting this property, being a few minutes walk to some lovely restaurants (like Tanda, an impressive Italian restaurant) and a Pepitos market. Many other restaurants and the dolphin statue were only about a 10-minute walk away. Putu, who is the caretaker of the property for the property owners, is a wonderful man, eager to help in any way. We enjoyed his kindness and meeting his children. The property is situated in its own private compound being fully enclosed and gated. The two bedrooms are kept cool by good functioning air conditioners and the kitchen is well stocked for basic food preparation and has a hot/cold water dispenser with filtered water and hot water ready for your coffee or tea. The house is uniquely shaped and roofed like a banda hut. We almost did not book this property being scared off by the ratings on Booking.com. We simply cannot comprehend the ratings. I saw the property listed on Airbnb with 119 very good reviews. The property is relisted on Airbnb as a new listing (I believe a change of ownership/property management?) and shows no ratings, but you can scroll down to find the prior ratings, click on them, and you will see recent reviews with happy guests. We prefer booking on Booking.com because it clearly shows booking options so booked here. So do not let the reviews on Booking.com scare you off.

The property could be stellar with some improvement by adding an air conditioner in the central area (kitchen/family room) and some minor upkeep improvements, like fixing some loose cabinets. But otherwise, it is a very lovely property and one we have mentioned many times among ourselves as one of our favorites while visiting Bali and how we would like to return to because we enjoyed the respite of the gardens and pool and overall property so much.

We konden niet in Villa Aurora Lovina terecht, omdat dat door heftige regen niet mogelijk was. Eigenaar stelde ons ruimschoots van tevoren op de hoogte en bood ons andere villa in Lovina aan (the Royen). De villa was op zich prima, maar wel echt toe aan een opknapbeurt en redelijk ver van het strand en de hoofdstraat (scooter wel te adviseren). Eigenaar en gastheer(de heer Putu) waren echt fantastisch bij het helpen bij een boottocht en het regelen van scooters en zeer behulpzaam bij vragen.

Excellent location ... close enough to everything and also removed enough for peace and quiet . Property management by Putu was exceptional he catered for all our needs , very pleasant and professional.

Pool is clean but does need a good scrub to remove algae .
