Shower is set into a sloping roof which was a little short for my 6’2 partner, fine for me though! :)

The outside of the building was unswept and slippy, with a fair bit of litter, no doubt blown in.

Location and parking space. Well equipped and comfortable apartment.
The heating is set so can’t control so property was cold on arrival. Oven could do with a clean. Shower can overflow out of the tray into the floor. Had a problem with WiFi being out of service but spoke to owner and this was out of his control but he dropped a bottle of Prosecco as a good will gesture and this was much appreciated.

It was a whole apartment that had everything you would need. The bed was comfortable. Even though it’s on a main road it’s quiet , Only a 10 minute walk into the city centre.
The entrance was quite tatty and unkept lots of leaves and moss , there was no lighting to use the keypad to gain entry and upon entry there were 4 large laundry bags left in the hall at the bottom of the stairs. It wasn’t the cleanest , it had been cleaned , but only superficially , the fridge was dirty inside and the windows don’t look like they’ve been cleaned for years inside and out. Lots of thick dirt and grime on the frames. Also would’ve been nice to not have to go to Tesco and buy milk and coffee , there were tea bags but I suspect they were left by the previous guests.

It's a really good-sized apartment, much bigger than we expected. We were able to park and leave the car while we explored Chester as comfortably within walking distance of the walled town. We were a bit nervous about being next to a main road, but as it is facing the back, noise was not too bad.
The bed was described as a large double, but it was a standard double, which was a disappointment, and if we knew, we would jot have booked.
We were grateful for the fan provided, but during summer, it is very warm as 'Wood Retreat' is on the top floor of the building. Maybe consider a small A/C unit that would also enable windows to be kept shut to further limit road noise?

Excellent flat, extremely deceiving with free car parking space. Lots of room excellent location 15minutes walk to the city centre would highly recommend. Definitely use it again in the future.

the street is noisy, the room is bright with only blinds, and the shower's temperature is not consistent but it has everything one needs for a short stay
