Central House in Plaka

This was the perfect place to stay if you are hanging out in Athens for a few days. I cannot say enough about the location. The apartment is on a quiet street but is just steps away from a plethora of restaurants and shopping. It is within walking distance of many tourist attractions and is also a 5 minute walk to the subway station, allowing for even further exploration of the city. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and felt very secure. I wouldn't hesitate to choose this property when visiting Athens in the future.

The property was in the most amazing central location - close to cafes, shops, transport, the Acropolis including museum and the park. Plaka is such an interesting and historic area, terrific for exploring. Absolutely perfect I could not have stayed in a better apartment nor in a better location and highly recommend it!

I loved everything about the property.

The location is perfect for visiting everything on foot in old central Athens. You immediately step out the door onto a quiet cobbled marble street, whether you turn left or right, there's always something interesting to see, do, or eat. We loved it. Plenty of space inside for luggage and relaxing. Also, the air-conditioner was good and powerful. Most days were in the mid-90's, so we would come back to the apartment in the middle of the day to cool off for an hour or two.

The shower. This is the only reason we did not give a 10 rating. It may be a cultural thing, I really don't know, but the shower was only a handheld shower head, and its hook was at mid-torso level. I have long thick hair, and it made washing it one-handed difficult. Water easily made it outside onto the floor. By the end of our 6 nights, I figured out a system, but it was still not a comfortable shower. There also were not any kitchen towels, so we just used one of our bathroom hand towels.
