We had a great stay at this apartment in Athens. The location is excellent—right in Plaka and only a 5‑minute walk from the Acropolis. The apartment is spacious, with two comfortable bedrooms, and well equipped, including a fully functional kitchen and access to Netflix. Having a supermarket less than a one‑minute walk away was extremely convenient. The host was exceptionally kind, responsive, and truly dedicated to making our stay enjoyable. Overall, the price‑to‑benefit ratio is excellent, and I would highly recommend this place.
The apartment is located in the basement, so natural light is limited, as the windows are at pavement level and we decided to keep the curtains closed. You can occasionally (there are "solid" double or triple glass windows) hear people discussing and passing by and hear dogs barking when meeting each other (only once) , although the street is surprisingly not very busy even at night. Some noise from the apartment above can be heard at times (mainly footsteps), but never during inappropriate hours. There is also a slight sense of humidity with a noticeable odor at first, which may feel unpleasant initially, though we quickly got used to it. Under different circumstances, this might not have been a 5‑star stay for us; however, the advantages clearly outweigh these drawbacks. As travelers who spend most of the day exploring rather than staying indoors, this apartment was an excellent fit for our needs, and we have no hesitation in recommending it.

Central location close to restaurants and shopping. It was quiet and comfortable. The hosts were very helpful!
It would be nice to know about stairs (older guests needed help). It was basic but served all our needs.

The location was amazing, convenient to a supermarket and tourist shopping. There were numerous choices for dining.
Awkward accessibility to basement apartment with heavy cases. Delayed communication with entry code, I requested the information to be sent 2 days earlier, as we would be in transit without wifi. Lack of essentials for our extended stay, including fresh linen, towels and toilet paper. We were not informed to request them. We were not informed to turn the hot water system on either.
