Very friendly hosts. Food was amazing, breakfasts and dinners. Large choice of beers. Good location. Relaxing sitting out the back for a drink in the evening watching the cows. Would definitely recommend.

Perfectly located, this amazing pub & restaurant offers incredible food & drink at very reasonable prices. Staff and Landlord/Landlady are welcoming, friendly and utterly professional!

Rooms may be a little small for some

The pub was within a few minutes drive of Two Dales which was perfect for us. The rooms were newly renovated and some of them had a fan.

- The owner was very contradictory. We were told on the phone six months before our stay that it didn’t make any difference to the cost if we booked through Booking.com. Then told when we arrived it would have been 20% cheaper to go direct. She said when I booked we couldn’t have an early check in - we would have to wait and see on the day. And then we arrived she said the other guests had paid for a late check out so we couldn’t access the rooms earlier. (We booked three rooms and just wanted to get changed for a wedding so just accessing one room 2 hours earlier would have made all the difference). - We were a party of 6, and would have had lunch and breakfast if we had been made to feel a bit more welcome. - We stayed at the end of the heat wave and after some difficulties making arrangements to get a key for our rooms when we arrived before midnight to access them the windows were all completely shut and the rooms were like furnaces. One of the rooms didn’t have a fan and was stifling. There was nobody around to ask for another fan. - We were offered the camping toilets to get ready in, which having declined initially we had to come back and use. They were really nice bathrooms (although very hot because there was no ventilation at all) but if the owner had just shown us these it might have helped the whole situation. We were just made to feel so unwelcome. 🙁
