GUS ARDITYA HOMESTAY

Thank you Gus for the wonderful stay and help. We loved the birds cheering in the morning, the lovely room, perfect location, attentive breakfast, beautiful garden and great vibes all together. We wish we could have stayed more

The location was excellent - a side alley that’s quiet and peaceful but a very short walk away from main road and main attractions. The room was simple and a bit small but clean and asthetic. The owner is a talented artist whose beautiful paintings decorate the place. The garden is lush and beautiful. After I asked, I was given a glass to hold toothbrush, extra toilet paper, plastic bag for the bin and an extra blanket because was cold at night. My conclusion was to speak up and not be shy when need something because hotel owners want us to be happy. I liked that there was a mineral water tank for a free re-fill, haven’t seen that elsewhere in Bali and it saved me from constantly buying water bottles. I also liked that they clean the room every 2 days rather than every day, which I don’t need.

There were birds in cages, fish in a pond and fish in an aquarium. I know it’s perceived as decoration but it made me sad and I want the animals to be free. The owner did say however that he takes care of the birds temporarily and then releases them. The hotel entrance is a bit unclear because the sign doesn’t say Gus Arditya but says Suryadina. I was given hangers but there were no anchors to hang them on. There were only two electric sockets and placed weirdly under table. There were 2 small face mirrors and no full body one. The shampoo and soap contaiers didn’t say which is which. Water in shower was cold, I told them, they fixed it immediately but then was boiling hot even when put on cold.

The room was in a beautiful homestay. It is located right in the city center but it is still very quiet. There are many restaurants near by.

the bed was a little noisy when getting in and out but it was comfortable.

I loved the position close to everything , just walk to all the shops and great restaurants

No parking at all , and need to take your bags up the laneway but the owner Gus is very helpful and came on his bike to help me with my bags
