Queen Charlotte Guesthouse

Our train was delayed so I was concerned about check in, but it was all automated and we had the codes in advance and so it worked out really well. Great location - couple of minute drive away via taxi (we arrived really late) but walked to Waverley train station the next morning. Nice touch with the Turnocks wafer bar with the tea making facilities.

Our room was at the back so we looked out into small derelict area - we weren't fussed about this though as we only slept in the room, as we were off out doing things during the day.

Comfortable bed, storage spaces for clothes, modern bathroom where everything functions well.

Our bedroom was street side and lower than the street with stairs right in front of our window that led to a storage space used by other guests so curtains had to remain closed most of the time for privacy.

The instructions for check in were very clear and straightforward, including options for left luggage when we arrived before the start of the check in window. Codes were provided by email in advance, which was appreciated. Our room was spacious and clean, and had the most wonderful shower of our journey! Location of this guesthouse was perfect with many attractions in close walking distance, but located on a quiet side street with minimal traffic noise. In room amenities included coffee and biscuits. It was overall perfect.
