Top location, beautiful rooms, well equiped
We had zero view - facing a blind wall, making the room very dark and no way to see anything of the city. We felt very closed off. A pity really.

You couldn't ask for a better location: it's central to Old Town, with incredible restaurants and shops a block away. The room was excellent, a wonderful mix of luxury and class, with a very comfortable bed, a wonderful view, automatic curtains, climate control, a nice kitchenette and a large bathroom. There's also a nice elevator and a beautiful little lounge with good pastries and coffee. It's a newer, self-check-in style property, but there are staff on site.

The apartment was very posh. And the view from our 3rd floor apartment looked up to the castle and down to the park. The noise dampening in the bedroom was so good that we didn't hear the partying going on at night (although the sound insulation was less good in the living spaces). That's something to bear in mind if you have more than 2 guests and they will be sleeping on the pull out couch. Everything was very clean and though the bathroom was compact, it all worked even with 2 of us getting ready every morning.
We had 2 small problems during our stay: 1) the blinds stopped working rolling up or down on the 1st day (we were informed when we checked out that the batteries to the remotes probably died). So if you do stay at the RIGH Residences - and I suggest you should if you can afford it! - and the blinds or drapes don't work, contact staff immediately so they can replace the batteries. 2) the fancy dancy coffee machine failed on our last morning there - but there's nothing that RIGH could have done to prevent that.

Compact, but very comfortable accommodation in a great location. Easy to get to shops, restaurants, and other sights in Edinburgh. The lounge with the coffee and cakes was particularly welcome.
There was a strong musty smell on the ground floor as you entered the building. I suspect that this was caused by the renovation of the property next door, but it did not give a great first impression and was not apparent in the actual accommodation. The shower door in our bathroom also did not stay closed and it was impossible to keep the bathroom floor from getting very wet while taking a shower.
