The staff were amazing! I also love a Nespresso machine in a hotel room. Little touches like the caramel bars on the tea set was lovey. Beautiful decor! And the living room area is absolutely stunning - inspiring (I’m a designer by trade).
The only thing I would have liked would have been a box of tissues as I had a cold, but there was plenty of loo roll and shops nearby.

Spacious room and en-suite well decorated and clean and tidy with nice toiletries and coffee etc.
Extractor or fan noise or similar all night from neighbouring building luckily just a one night stay.

Excellent well equipped roomy apartment in central Edinburgh. Within walking distance to most attractions.
Whilst the firmness of bed mattresses are a matter of personal taste, this one was far too firm for me to be comfortable. I ended up trying to put a pillow under me to try but failing to get comfortable.

The guest house owner was very friendly and answered our questions quickly through booking.com.
The location is great, everything we wanted to do was within a 10-20 min walk.
The room was comfortable and enough for what you’d need.
There is a lot of traffic (ambulances, police, with sirens on) on the street of the guest house and since it’s an old building that means you can hear everything through the windows and walls. Bring earplugs!
Same goes for the other guests going in and out: you can hear every door opening and closing and people talking in the hall and in the adjoining rooms.
On the weekend there is even more noise, from people partying and socializing outside in the evenings.
There is no fridge, but maybe that’s uncommon in guest houses.
