The apartment is a converted cellar, so no windows you can see out of , also restricted height of ceiling

Mould on the walls, bathroom shower grubby, plaster patches that had fallen off the walls. Tv difficult to control. Owner unresponsive and incorrect tel number on Booking.com

Lovely apartment, great location

Lovely little apartment walking distance from everything , comfy bed, clean and pretty decor, only stayed one night so didn’t use the little kitchen but it seemed well stocked .

Perfect location for a short stay in Lyme Regis

The location was excellent, it was well equipped and the bed is very comfortable the parking space is a real bonus.

We personally didn’t like that you couldn’t see out of the property (it’s a semi-basement with opaque windows) but this would not put us off booking again- The property smelled slightly of damp when we went in and there was some dump in the corners - the bathroom layout is slightly unusual layout but none of these things would stop us from booking again.

Lovely little flat at the top of the hill into Lyme Regis town centre.

Very cozy little flat 5 minutes walk from Lyme Regis town centre. For a small flat it's very well thought out, with a good use of the space. Kitchen was more than adequate, bed was comfy, shower was nice and powerful. We only stayed one night and it met our expectations. The parking spot was very convenient, and made packing and unpacking the car very easy.

The flat is underneath the main residence which means footsteps from above are very obvious. Unfortunately the bedroom is directly beneath a flat roof / veranda ( I presume) with a patio door access, which, when the upstairs occupants decide to open it at 7am and trot around repeatedly in and out of the building onto the roof, sounded like a day at the races. The only downside I guess of it being beautiful weather for our stay lol. At least it meant we were up early to enjoy the day ahead :).

Enjoyable and perfect for a few days

The apartment was lovely but needing a touch up of paint and the damp patches remedied It all felt a little damp in places at times

If the apartment above also belongs to the downstairs one I would recommend different flooring upstairs You can hear every move they make and the letting on Thursday 7th August 2025 sounded like they were rearranging all the furniture which was very disturbing

Good location for the centre of Lyme Regis and the beach. Good communication and easy access. Comfortable bed and a lovely 'welcome pack' which was a nice touch

Dark, damp and not worth the climb up the hill

Nice furniture, good shower, comfy bed, parking for a small car (but there is a reasonable car park just down the road anyway).

Damp in the walls and air. The atmosphere is horrible. You have to keep front door open for fresh air. Mold in living room. Paint peeling off. Paint scuffs galore. This is a ground floor flat that becomes a basement flat because it is on such a steep hill. Subsequently it is dark and limited ventilation possible. It doesn’t matter how nice the furniture is if the walls are wet. The hill up to the flat also very hard work and noise from above ridiculous. Why no noise insulation and why has this place not been tanked properly? We paid £168 for one night. Not good value despite the parking. Added a few photos but I could have taken many others.

Very disappointing

We booked this place over a year in advance choosing it over everything else available because of the great view over the bay. We should have checked the reviews nearer the time we stayed, because as someone pointed out in Jan 2025, not only was the view not a view from the flat itself but the view (behind the bins in the parking bay) has since been blocked by the neighbours who erected a fence specifically to block it. The photos have been changed but nobody thought to let existing bookings know that the main selling point was gone So the flat is basically a low ceiling box without a view. Couple that with the fact you can hear absolutely everything that goes on upstairs including baby and dog and it makes for a very disappointing experience.

Great property, great location and a good workout walking up the hill.

The property was very comfy and had everything we needed.

My only criticism would be the dog in the property directly above was running around on wooden floors and it was very noisy very early in the morning.

It was perfectly functional place to stay with lovely decor and care and attention of host to details was clear. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped but could do with a few extra utensils, glasses etc.

It’s a basement with no visibility to outside from inside so a bit claustrophobic. That said it’s an excellent use of space. The climb up the hill was a challenge for us - we are reasonably fit but older! That said, it was great value for central Lyme in summer and parking nearby was great - albeit a bit of a climb from car park to flat.

Noise insulation between apartment and the one one above. Also, apartment was quite dark. Lighting in bedroom was quite dim; impossible to, for instance, to read in bed.

The flat was very clean, comfy and a great location with attached parking. It felt very welcoming and I would stay again.

I think the mold on shower head should be removed. Also, a shelf to put your toiletries on in the bathroom would be good. The TV signal has a major lag so it was hard to watch.

At about 10pm sat night people must have just arrived to stay in the upstairs flat and they were talking until about 2am, hearing them walking up and down it felt like they were going to come through the ceiling !!

The property is fantastic. Beautifully decorated and with all the amenities you can think of, including 2 TVs. The parking space right next to the flat is excellent.

Noise was a little bit of an issue but only because there were children in the flat above - more an issue with their parents not appreciating the comfort of the downstairs tenants.
