Was ok but don't think I'd stay again.

It was nice a spacious, lovely bathroom and nice cooking facilities.

It was cold when we arrived we had to switch the heaters on (we didn't know what time we were going to be there so couldn't forewarn them) but we were there by 4.30pm. The bed just squeak and creak every time you moved and mattress wasn't brilliant.

The garden and sauna a nice touch large bedrooms

Bed was very uncomfortable as very very thin mattress so no sleep due to this, the point of booking this. Was so we could have good sleep quality.

Great stay

Phil was extremely helpful and responsive, and the apartment was a great space for us as a small family with a dog. We were able to escape some bad weather and visit Smoo caves the next day. The craft village is a really interesting place. The galleries and spaces the artists have created in the old military buildings are really impressive.

The mattress was a bit soft for us so we didn't have the best nights sleep, but the main bedroom was very cosy and well decorated.

The property was clean Good location for the beach Well equipped for self catering Contact with the owner was helpful and friendly Towels provided.

The location of the premises in the run-down craft village. The property was overgrown and unkempt The property is SO DARK inside being painted mainly black. We arrived on a beautiful sunny afternoon, and we did not want to be inside such a dark place. The bedroom smelled fusty, although the bedding seemed clean. We just didn't feel very comfortable in the premises and we would not chose to stay there again. The property is more run down than the photographs would suggest. I think they must have been taken some time ago.

Great place just off the NC500 near a gorgeous beach

We loved the quirky accommodation, the dog proof garden and the very helpful owners. The proximity to Cocoa Mountain, the NC500 and the Cape Wrath ferry and transport service. Balnakiel beach is beautiful too.

Too many black walls for my taste. Kitchen needs a baking tray and oven needs a second shelf. It seems minor but when cooking for 4 it is an issue

Unusual accommodation

It is not easy to find accommodation in Durness in high season, the choice is quite limited. So we really appreciate we have a little house for our stay for reasonable money. There is everything you need, also kitchen provides everything to prepare a meal. Tea, sugar, coffee are also there. A lot off DVDs and good shower.

The beds are not the best. Big one creaks, 2 others are short for adults and even teenagers. Design is not my favorite, but for one night stay it is quite unique, I would say :-)

Great place to stay

Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The house was really clean and perfect for what we needed on our NC500 trip.

Nothing really to dislike. The bed was quite creaky and worth noting the TVs only play DVDs. But none of that really mattered to us, it might matter to others.

Excellent location. 10 mins walk to beautiful tranquil beach. 5 mins walk to Cocoa Mountain. Kitchen was very well equipped. Host was excellent...just popped by briefly to ensure we are comfortable and if we have any questions.

Locating the house took some time but to be fair host had given detailed instructions. Bathroom shower was a bit of a let down. Upper bunk was difficult to get into...suitable for a small kid.

The apartment was perfect for me. It was warm, comfortable and had everything I expected. The kitchen living area was spacious, complete with comfy lounge and dining table. The bed was super comfy and the rooms warm. The location is great; there’s a really good cafe about 50 m away.

Very nice stay to explore a beautiful area

We had a very easy check-in and it was a lovely small house in a small community. The bed and shower were good and it was nice to have a little garden with the dogs. You can make beautiful hikes in close proximity and it was nice to have the coffee/hot chocolate house in walking distance.

You might have to travel a bit further for a supermarket and / or a restaurant. There was only one restaurant in the neighborhood, so don't forget to bring your groceries when you pass a supermarket.

Stayed for one night as it's convenient for the NC500. Quirky property set in a 'craft village' location just outside Durness. Generous living space, bathroom and main bedroom but rather cramped bed 2. Enjoyed using the sauna, but could do with better instructions to turn it on (and better secure the cover on the switchgear).

It was okay. A lot smaller than expected. Top bunk is not suitable for an adult. One of our party has to sleep on a couch. It is not a 4 bed property. The basic food supplies were appreciated.

Bunk room was far too small to be described as a bedroom. Top bunk was unusable for an adult. Possibly ok for a child. The location was literally miles out of the village centre..

Prima maar niet wat wij het gemiddelde cijfer waard vinden.

De omheinde tuin was voor onze hond erg fijn. Ook de omgeving is top, al doet het terrein om het huisje heen wat verloederd aan.

Het is binnen allemaal erg donker en alleen een hoog raam waardoor het wat duister aanvoelt allemaal. De tv staat op een onstabiel plankje, verstevigd met wat scheef afgezaagde latjes. De keuken vonden we niet heel hygiënisch en met als afwasgerei een al eerder gebruikt sponsje begrijpen we dat wel.

Séjour très agréable

Région un peu "au bout du monde" mais très jolie à visiter. Bon point de départ pour les visites en voitures. Logement entier confortable et bien équipé avec une terrasse très agréable au soleil.

La casa si trova in un piccolo complesso di artigiani, seguendo le indicazioni si trova facilmente. È disponibile il parcheggio proprio davanti all'alloggio. La cucina è ben fornita, buono lo spazio soggiorno. A pochi minuti dalla casa è presente un piccolo market e nel villaggio è presente una cioccolateria.

L'interno è un po' tetro, nonostante ampie finestre risulta buio. La televisione usata solo per i dvd è una bella idea ma non al passo con i tempi.

Tolle Ferienwohnung

Absolut unkomplizierte Schlüsselübergabe. Der Bungalow liegt in einem "Bungalowdorf" und der Vermieter hatte uns vorab die Wegbeschreibung zu unserem Bungalow geschickt, sodass wir unser Cottage sofort gefunden haben. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Die Ausstattung war super - es war alles vorhanden, sogar Waschmittel für die Waschmaschine war da. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und alles sauber. Wären gerne länger als eine Nacht dort geblieben.
