A great pod experience.

A wonderful peaceful scenic location with area around the pod very well kept. Lovely to see the Coos and Alpacas. Pod was compact and cosy with everything you need. The biggest bath towels throughout our whole trip⭐️

A different kind of stay

Most of the things we needed were available in the pod. It warmed up quickly and was lovely and quiet. Clean and a super shower. Owners were to hand when we required anything. Excellent parking and everything really well maintained around the pods

Very interesting and enjoyable place to stop for a couple of days.

hosts were very informative and were very accommodating. It was intersting feeding the animals with John and all the information he gave in regards to animals and location of there hobby farm.

It was comfortable but a little tight at times but still very good and well supplied.Hosts were great and very helpful.

The stay was a quiet, beautiful countryside with lots of animals which we got to meet. The hosts were also very kind and friendly.

Great pod and certainly on the luxury side of the scale

Clean and well equipped pod with pretty much everything required for I'd say up to 4 people to have a comfy stay. There were 3 of us plus our big dog and it was fine. Great induction hob as well as a fridge and small freezer box and microwave so you can be pretty self sufficient. Beds were comfortable, both the main double and the sofa / futon. There is a table and 4 chairs (2 stow away) and enough space under the futon to store some bags etc.

Only bits of feedback based on other pods we've used would be to perhaps include a power strip with USB ports as there are not many sockets to use. Also perhaps a couple of shelves to store foodstuffs and bits and bobs. Otherwise it was tip top.

Comfortable in a remote and beautiful setting.

The pods are fantastic - spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. John the host came to say hello when we arrived and he was very friendly and welcoming. The location is beautiful and peaceful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Charming pods in lovely location

Loved the location and the cute pod. Superclean and hosts were extremely helpful. We went for a walk to the recommended locations by the host and saw a red kite and a short eared owl! Delighted!

The perfect escape

The location was great. The host John was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. He took time out to show us around his animals , red deer, highland cows , alpacas , hens and we were also entertained on our walk about by the 3 cats. On arrival the pod was immaculately clean , and a very comfy stay was had set in a beautiful surroundings . Great to hear the cuckoos and curlews as well as many other birds around the area. Nice sunset every evening as well from outside the pod. Overall excellent value and we would highly recommend loch shin Glamping pods as a good base to investigate the surrounding area and parts of the NC500.

Great place to stay, would stay every time!

Lovely spot, easy to get to and very well catered for. There is a lot of information in the pods with places to eat and places to visit when there. The favourite part for my husband and I was the Croft where the host took us to see all the lovely animals they keep, from Swiss Valley sheep to deer and highland coos and Alpacas! The hosts were also very accommodating when we asked for DVDs for when in the pod and a screwdriver.

Neat pods and great value for money.

John’s a great chap and the pods great value for money and are really neat. It felt newly built but John said it’s 8 years old which came as a surprise. It’s well maintained and perfect for a group of 4. I will definitely visit again if I am in Lairg. It will be a perfect spot for star gazing and viewing aurora due to its remoteness and low light pollution . Unfortunately the weather was overcast for us.

Fantastic place.

Perfect place. Stayed as a base for hillwalking - the pod was ideal, comfortable bed, ensuite, hot shower, wee kitchen - had everything needed. Easy to find, beautiful and peaceful spot, owners welcoming. Small but well stocked Spar just 5 minutes down the road. Great stay! Thankyou!

Wonderful but do let the owners know if you have a pacemaker.

I take full responsibility as I didn’t think to check that the electric hob was not an induction hob. Induction hobs + pacemakers + lack of height = do not mix as my pacemaker would be adversely affected. Apparently they do have 2 pods with electric hobs and two with induction hobs. Long story short they did help to cook my eggs 💖

Absolutely fantastic, cannot recommend this place enough. John went above and beyond for us. Thank you John, it was the perfect stay to end our trip. One highlight for me was interacting with the animals, especially the Highland Coos. Next time we are over, we will be sure to come and stay for a night or two.

Perfect nature retreat, opportunity to disconnect and leave your phone in a drawer

Great, spacious pod, with stunning views and furnished with everything one could need. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating, they even have a breakfast van that opens every morning for those who don't feel like cooking. We travelled with two dogs who were very welcome too and there are nice walks in the close proximity of the pods. Hosts even prepared a little tour booklet with suggestions what to visit.

Clean, nice and quiet

The pods are clean and had everything in it that i needed. The area around it is very beautiful and it's nice and quiet. Perfect for a good walk! Had a great time feeding the animals with John and had a fast and good communication with Anita. Also have seen the northern lights 2 nights in a row and it was so great!! They brought me chairs and turned off the lights so i could see it much better! Enjoyed the beautiful clear skies! You need a car but would not say that it is a negative thing. There is a Spar supermarket just a 7 min drive from the pods which also has fresh bread.
