A perfect stay

Top House is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. The house is set in a private and peaceful location with amazing views. It was so relaxing just to sit in the garden and look across the bay at the Summer Isles. The house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed and more. Although Top House is in a rural location, it is only a few minutes' drive away from the restaurants, supermarket and petrol station in Ullapool. We loved everything about Top House and the surrounding area and will definitely visit again.

Nothing - the only disappointment was having to leave.

Exceptional - is a fair description

This was our second visit To Top house and we are planning our third visit next year. The property is amazing a great location with stunning views, Exceptional is the only word for it. The house is warm comfortable and we love our stay we are planning our next stay already I am only telling you this as we need to keep Top House a secret, because once you go you too will want to re-visit and if to many people know about Top House then it will be hard to get it booked the next time so just keep this between you and I okay.

We liked everything about the property and the situation in which it stood. This is not an exaggeration; we cannot think of anything negative to report.

I have been here several times before and it never disappoints.

The is beautifully appointed house with fantastic views to the mountains and over the Summer Isles. Everything is modern and well maintained. The lounge is large with a good quality Sony TV. Parking is easy for 3 cars. Hard to fault and exceptional value.

Had some trouble with the can opener but that's just nitpicking.

Perfect getaway properru

The house had absolutely everything we could need and I’ve never stayed anywhere so clean! There are stunning views from the property and it was a really comfortable weeks stay.

Makes you want to get back from a day in the mountains early enough to enjoy the house.

Previously reviewed, so perhaps not really fair to say much more or indeed review again - but we have now stayed here for just under 3 weeks (with another week booked for later this year) and just love everything about the property. It is just such a nice place to come back to each day and so conveniently situated. I can only (sadly) imagine how splendid it is when the weather isn't pretty awful (snow in May etc) but cannot imagine there are many more pleasant places to sit and read (with a glass or mug of something appropriate), as the rain lashes down, than that little sunlounge. Looking out the window, shortly after arrival, I was treated to the sight of a golden eagle in extended beak-to-tail pursuit of a raven, that must have pushed it a bit too far and been getting its comeuppance. Watching the gaggle of lambs rampaging around, with intermittent vertical take-off and joyous bucking, is a delightful sight. The sunsets are usually worth catching too. Having stayed in a out-of-the-way place late on last year (in unspeakable weather), I kept thinking how much more pleasant it would have been staying at Top House and having a relaxed drive back to somewhere accessibly-placed each day...and, likewise, as the wind howled and the rain battered that unwelcoming house, I again found myself wishing I was instead sitting in the sunlounge in Top House being able to actively enjoy the bad weather rather than thinking what a waste of a holiday it had been.

It made us conclude that we wanted to live in a house as lovely as this one.
