Trailside Ella-Your Gateway to Ella Rock

Beautiful stay run by the loveliest couple. Breakfast was an option between Sri Lankan and Western - we had Sri Lankan both mornings and tasted wonderful. Also was able to get a tasty Sri Lankan lunch on the day we arrived for a very small cost. Room was big and spacious, beds were comfy and had mosquito nets which helped. Provided towels, kettle, tea/coffee and a mini fridge in the room. View is fantastic, you can see the train go past in the distance during the day. For a budget stay, this is ideal!

Bathroom was a good size and clean but no ridge to stop the shower water from going everywhere on the floor, so can get a bit wet in there. They had Wi-fi but wasn't working while we were there.

Comfy bed, spacious room, friendly and helpful staff. The views from the property were great also, very close to Ella Rock and the staff helped sort transportation into town. The breakfast is also really good as well.

There was a lot of ants in and around the sink when we came but after we removed them, none came back so it wasn’t a permanent problem, just a little off putting when we arrived. Also, it is quite a far walk from the centre of town but we did do it a few times and was enjoyable.

Líbila se nám oblast. Kus cesty od centra, strmější výstupy, ale pěšky se dá po kolejích dojit do města i zpět i s menšími dětmi. Na kolejích i nedaleko apartmánu jsou restaurace, nad ubytováním cca 50m je stánek pro to nejnutnější k jídlu. V okolí jsme i sehnali taxi na další cestu, v obchodě u cesty nám pan sehnal tuk tuk za dobrou cenu na Little Adam’s peak. Tam by dospělí zvládli dojít i komplet pěšky. Ubytování má milou zahrádku s krásným výhledem, venku stoleček, kde se i podává snídaně. Mladý muž či se stará o hosty i pověsil šňůru na prádlo. Kdo nepotřebuje ruch města, tak je to výborné místo, hlavně pro cestu na Ella, kde jen sejdete z kopce na koleje a po chvíli jste na počátku trailu. V ubytování jsou i velmi praktické věci, které v jiných místech chybí - fén, malá chladnička, baterka, konvice na kávu, čaj, věšák s odkládací plochou . Voda někdy horká, někdy vlažná, asi dle počasí.

Nebylo čisto tak, abych mohla dát plný počet. Z podlahy byly špinavé nohy. Okno je krásné a velké, tak proč ho nemít i čisté.. Nic významného, krom tohoto v pořádku.

Sehr saubere Unterkunft, super bequemes Bett, freundliche Mitarbeiter. ..ist auf der Hälfte (von Ella aus gesehen) der Wanderung zum Elle Rock gelegen nach Ella geht’s an den Schienen entlang, was abends zurück mit den Gesängen aus dem Tempel eine schöne Walking-Meditation nach dem Ellatrubel. (ca30min)

Das angebotene Frühstück war sehr lecker, aber für 2000,- pro Person doch etwas teuer..
