Amazing!

Best place we’ve stayed in Thailand so far. Beautiful, spacious and very clean rooms. It’s peaceful and surrounded by nature, you wake up to the sound of birds. Yet within a 5-minute walk you’re on the main street with great restaurants and even a bakery right across the road. I don’t usually leave reviews, but we were truly so satisfied. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful! Highly recommended.

Great room in a peaceful setting!

Amazing experience since the room was much better than what you can find elsewhere for the same price. Nice quiet atmosphere and a friendly vibe. As everyone says, the room is very big, fresh and modern. Lots of space for luggage and stuff. And the most friendly cats around the grounds.

- Had to pay in cash which is a bit odd - A wall fan would make the terrace more useful as it was hot and lots of mosquitos

Clean, family run and safe. Close to the beach and amenities

Very spacious, with friendly helpful staff. Comfortable bed and warm shower. It felt like a family run place. Some Sweet little kids who came over to say “hello” every morning and the wee girl even excitedly came show me her new sparkly shoes which I found very cute and added to the charm.

The safety deposit box was too small to fit iPads etc but tbh that actually didn’t really matter as the hotel felt extremely safe. Our room didn’t really have much privacy, it had a huge floor to ceiling window covering the whole wall which meant everyone could see in our room as it was the start of the path so all guest had to pass. However most were very respectful and didn’t peer in. It would benefit from some kind of privacy panel.

Great !

Room was amazing, super clean and spacious! All the facilities you could want! Close to long beach. About. 5-7 min walk to 7/11. Dropped laundry at reception and was returned to my room in 3 hours !

Nothing - side note, probably need to hire bike / mooed to get around as there isn’t much to do around apart from just chill on the beach

Nice - but overpriced

The house is nice and the rooms are good. The owner and the reception lady are friendly. Quiet location with exactly 500 m to the beach. Each room has a balcony or a terrace with a 2 chairs and a table. Wifi was ok.

I had to reduce some points from the rating and I would like to explain why. 2 points less because it is overpriced. In other resort with a similar price I got a lot of things which had been missing here: possibility to pay by card or online; English speaking reception; silent aircon; pool, complementary breakfast. 1 point less because I got their worst room. Even I stayed for a long time, they gave me the only room without any privacy. Everybody who comes to the resort had to look into my room and on my terrace. 1 point less because there was too much wild life in my room. Plenty of flying insects in the air and some black worms on the floor.

Ok, here's where we do a deep dive into Dusit. It is owned by the family who collectively own Amara, Fill-Feel, Pana Long Beach and The Sun Long Beach...all barely 30-60 secs walk away. All of these 4 are very much in tune with guests and provide all the touches you want. Dusit only opened post covid (it was being built up to April 2020) yet it is still unfinished. Holes in the wall for bedside lights, no lights. No secondary internal lighting unlike all those 4 mentioned. No internal signage re what you cannor can't put down the toilet...in fact that sign appeared during our 1 month stay. Cleaning is totally ad hoc. No-one speaks any English which is just absurd as it is a resort for western tourists and everywhere else speaks enough to communicate. Try to hire a bike and they use Lanta Sky who want your passport as collateral. Sorry this is 30 years ago nonsense, Dusit should have an arrangement for guests so you don't have to do this...illegal anyhoo as we all know. Go to Anny across the main road, 2k deposit that's it. Plastic outside seats Rain pours onto the balcony. And to top it off, the water pressure (as other guests have mentioned) is rubbish if you are upstairs. Then they build an in-house laundrette at the back and the pressure is worse! So good value for £22 per night. Utterly NOT if you have to pay more. I won't stay again, I'll stay across the road at Amara or round the corner at Fill-Feel or Pana. Same family but far far better accommodation.

Spacious, bright rooms with a few weak points

The room is clean and very spacious and bright with a balcony or terrace. Near the beach, only a short walk. Daily cleaning and fresh bottles of water every day. Price relatively high in begin of December, but still okay

What's missing are mosquito nets on the doors. This means you can only sleep with the doors closed and the air conditioning on. Cheapest plastic chairs on the balcony which does not fit with the price you pay for this room. Structure seems quite new, but strange holes in the wall for bedside lights, which are not existing. No switch-off for lights on both bedsides. No bedside tables near the bed. Low water pressure of the shower (in 1st floor) Walls are thin, you hear everything from the neighbours and can only hope that no-one watches TV until late. Lack of privacy in rooms on ground floor – you always must keep closed the curtains and cannot open the window (= door) at night. The girl at the reception does not speak any English. By any issue you have to communicate by Whatsapp with the owner, who is willing to help.

Very clean, modern, great location. Two bottles of water & a roll of toilet paper provided per day even if you didn’t request the room was cleaned. Fresh clean bedding and towels. Great air con. A very sweet cat at reception!

I could stay there again

Great location, close to the beach less than 5 min walk. On the way to beach nice At | story cafe & bar with great breakfast. Room was clean and big. The towels were changed almost every day. Bed was comfy only the pillows were high and hard, I had a stiff neck in the morning. Nice garden and small patio outside for evening chill. Nice staff. No clear info about check in but I asked locals and they told me where to go.

It's new! Bed massive, air conditioning... It's needed in this climate...good location 5 minutes from beach and if you need a co working space you have two places near by and the gym .

It's new, so it's got few hiccups so it will get there.. New towels so stuff coming off them, so not much good for drying...haha.. They have gaps in the door so ants is a issue but I explained and they treated the room... Hard to find needs a sign and check in could be smother no reception .

Geweldig verblijf gehad hier!

De kamer was super ruim en schoon. Er wordt iedere dag schoongemaakt als je erom vraagt. Er was eigenlijk maar één minpuntje aan de kamer, namelijk dat het vrij gehorig kan zijn. Onze buren waren best luid en kwamen ‘s nachts thuis, waardoor we een paar keer wakker zijn geworden. Hier kan het hotel uiteraard niets aan doen, maar het is wel goed om te weten als je een moeilijke slaper bent. De locatie is top. 5 minuten lopen en je bent op Long Beach, waar verschillende beach bars zijn om de hele dag te relaxen. Goede restaurants op loopafstand. Tip voor ontbijt en goede koffie: Ms homemade bakery and coffee. Het personeel is ontzettend lief en behulpzaam. Ik zou hier zeker terugkomen!

Der perfekte Ort für einen entspannten Urlaub

Die ruhige Lage mitten im Grünen, abseits des Trubels, hat uns am besten gefallen. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Das Personal stets freundlich und lächelnd. Die Zimmer werden jeden Tag überdurchschnittlich gut gereinigt und es gibt Badetücher für den Strand. Roller können in direkter Nähe gemietet werden.

Beste Unterkunft in Thailand

Die Unterkunft ist zentral gelegen (ca. 5 Minuten Fußweg vom Longbeach entfernt und ca. 5 Minuten Fußweg zum nächsten 7-Eleven). Das Zimmer war sauber und es gab täglich neue Wasserflaschen, Handtücher, Klopapier etc.. Da man leider nur mit Bargeld bezahlen kann, konnten wir netterweise einen Tag später bezahlen, da wir nicht genug Bargeld dabei hatten. Auf Nachfragen wurde schnell schriftlich reagiert und ein Transfer zum Pier konnte auf Anfrage ebenfalls sehr pünktlich bereitgestellt werden.

Nur Barzahlung möglich (unbedingt Bargeld mit auf die Insel nehmen, da einige Automaten nicht funktionieren).

Great service, quiet location, very friendly staff

I had a very pleasant stay at this accommodation. The room was spacious, clean, and very quiet, with fresh towels provided daily. The location is peaceful, set just behind a small street, with direct access to the beach in about a 5–10 minute walk. Restaurants and shops on the main road are only a few minutes away. The Wi-Fi was reasonably good, and there is a great breakfast restaurant right next to the entrance, which was very convenient. A special thank you to Ms. Darina and her daughter Beem, who arranged everything perfectly for me, including scooter rental, boat tickets, and taxis. With the help of Google Translate, communication was easy and worked very well. Viel Raum fürs Geld

Der grosszügige Raum, in dem man alles sehr gut unterbringen konnte. Das komfortable Bad und die ruhige Lage Bis zur Hauptstraße mit vielen Restaurants und Läden war es nur ein Katzensprung.

Der Weg zum Strand war mit ca. 300 m doch recht lang.

Preiswert aber mit vielen Schwächen

Alles sauber geputzt, Bettwäsche süß drapiert.

Leider war unser Aufenthalt insgesamt eher durchwachsen. Im Zimmer befanden sich extrem viele kleine Fliegen und Moskitos, sodass wir zunächst rund drei Stunden damit beschäftigt waren, das Problem in den Griff zu bekommen, um überhaupt schlafen zu können. Der Transfer vom Pier hat ebenfalls einen negativen Eindruck hinterlassen: Für die etwa 15-minütige Fahrt sollten zunächst 500 Baht (ca. 13,50 €) berechnet werden, ohne dass dieser Preis vorher kommuniziert wurde. Das empfanden wir als unverhältnismäßig, zumal es rund ein Drittel des Zimmerpreises pro Nacht entsprach. Nach einer kurzen Diskussion wurde der Preis zwar angepasst, dennoch bleibt ein unangenehmer Beigeschmack. Der Rollerverleih lag bei 250 Baht pro Tag, was im Rahmen des Üblichen ist. Insgesamt war die Erfahrung leider nicht überzeugend. Wir würden diese Unterkunft nicht erneut buchen.

Parfait pour une première fois à koh lanta

L’emplacement parfait, le coin de l’hôtel est calme mais à côté de tout. Le ménage tout les jours et quand on est dans la chambre lors du ménage il laisse à la porte les affaires et de l’eau

Attention à la porte d'entrée qui est une vitre.

L'emplacement proche de la plage est génial et les chambres sont grandes.

La porte d’'entrée est une baie vitrée qui donne sur le passage vers les autres logements, ducoup nous étions obligé de fermer les rideaux h24. Il n'y avait personne à notre arriver et à notre départ à la réception. Il faudrait prévenir les clients d'appeler la réception pour que quelqu'un vienne. Il n'accepte pas la carte bancaire.

In the middle of nowhere

Das "Personal" bestand aus einem Mann, derzwsr ab und zu mal übe das Gelände lief der aber weder etwas erklärte, noch auf Fragen in Englisch sntworten konnte. Eine Rezeption gab es nicht. Und für mich als Fußgänger war es zu weit ab, 350m zum Strand und 300 m zum nächsten Restaurant ( die Unterkunft bot keinerlei Mahlzeiten an).
