Great place to stay

Great location,nice helpful staff, clean comfortable bungalow rooms, great place to get your bearings and quite a bit going on around,all across the road is a gym, 24 hour Thai restaurant mini mart and cash machine, bike hire 30 meters away great way to explore the place it’s amazing

Great central location with a spacious room, beautiful garden view, friendly owner, and enjoyable activities like volley

Great central location close to restaurants and attractions. Enjoyed evening volleyball and occasional visits from playful cats. Spacious room with a large glass window overlooking a beautiful garden. Equipped with both AC and a fan for comfort. The owner, Glen is very helpful and friendly. He serves the best coffee in the insland.

Lovely location

The bungalows were really large. Enough room to spread out comfortably. The microwave, fridge and kettle was lovely to have. Also the outside space to sit was good. It's 5mins walk from 2 entrances to long beach. The owner was lovely and gave good tips about the island.

They are severely short staffed so the cleaning is lacking. It's a bit unorganised but you can tell the owner is trying hard.

Fantastic value for money!

Me and my brother both rented a bungalow at The Travelers Friend and had a great stay.Very chill place with everything you need for both a long or short stay. Stayed at Glyns for a month and loved it. Considering you get air con, fan, micro, kettle, fridge , hair drier and toiletries in a comfy single standing fairly modern bungalow it's excellent value for money. Glyns place has everything on hand being just off the main street. Loads of restaurants and small fruit vendors etc.plus Minimart and laundry just next door. I even got great tatoo just over the road! With just a 5 min walk to the fantastic Long beach what more can you want! Well Glyn the owner gives you more. What a fabulous friendly and helpfull guy.He even let me leave some extra baggage with him for 2 weeks while i bombed off to visit som other islands. A really super chill interesting guy who knows alot about the wildlife and fauna of the island, does amazing breakfasts, great music and free pool table in his bar. I would absolutely recommend The Travelers friend

Small bungalow resort close to all the shops and places at Long Beach. Location is great and it's very good value for money.

The bathroom tubes don't work properly and we had some problems with the toilet. The bed could use a new mattress since it was not very comfortable.

Fantastic stay

Glen was the epitome of service with a smile- always happy to help and even gave us a lift to the ferry port when our transport failed to arrive. The accommodation itself was clean and comfortable, couldn’t ask for much more for the money. Excellent location, a few minutes walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, atm’s and a gym

Look no further...

THE breakfast is sooo good I nearly one starred my trip so I have a chance if booking in. November. The main man knows he way round a frying pan and kettle I tell you that for nothing, but that's about it! Actually absolute lovely bloke, good local knowledge, excellent map drawing skills. 9 mins to Oasis beach.... BAREFOOT! Scooters delivered to accommodation. Great rooms, clean, roomy, hot water clean bathrooms... You could live in it!

The fact that a German told me, a South East London Lemon Squeezer, about this gaff. He booked 8 days there because he loves English Breakfasts and that is a thing in Germany. He said 'English breakfasts are the largest exports from England since bombs in 1944 hahahaha. Friend for life right there

The owner is very cute ,friendly and helpfull. The place is very simple and reasonable in price. The room have little details that generally don't find in other place in thai: fan and AC,in the shower body shower,shampoo and conditioner,power point on bed side.

Welcoming and comfy

Glen was so friendly and welcoming! The room had everything you needed for a comfortable stay, and was in a gorgeous flower garden, just off behind the on-site restaurant and bar with games and pool table. The location is also perfect close to the beach and shops.

Great location close to Long Beach, with loads of fantastic options for food. I was travelling alone and felt really safe and well looked after by the staff. Has a real family feel.

Easy walk to Long Beach

Great location near Long Beach, just a 10 minute walk. Close to quite a few restaurants and bars. Clean bungalows. The owner, Glyn, was really nice to talk to. He also was helpful in getting me a soft pillow (I'm very picky with my bedding), when the pillow was too hard the first night. After that, I slept well the remaining nights.

Wi-Fi did not function in the bungalow I had, so I had to use the data on my phone and hotspot for my laptop, but not a major issue on my end. That could be different if your bungalow is closer to the restaurant.

Wir kommen hoffentlich bald wieder!

Die Ruhe war perfekt, etwas nach hinten von der quirligen Hauptstraße versetzt. Der Bungalow im sehr gepflegten Garten hatte alles was man braucht. Der Besitzer war sehr nett und hilfsbereit, hat uns gute Ratschläge fürs Frühstück oder Laundry gegeben!

Das Bett war etwas weich, aber das ist bekanntlich Geschmacksache.

Malheureusement un problème de WC bouchés tout le long de notre séjour (5nuits) que le propriétaire a malgré tout essayé de réparer tous les jours mais n’a réussi qu’à la fin..
