Beachfront and the beach being one of the best beaches in Koh Lanta.
Staff’s attitude is inconsistent. They were warm and hospitable towards the Western European guests and yet unfriendly and aloof towards Asian guests. Please remember that as an Asian or any human being, we were raised to treat everyone equally without discrimination of our background or race.
When I checked in, I requested if there was a bungalow closer to the beachfront. I do understand that the resort is fully booked but the attitude of the staff was cold and just ignored my request without acknowledging my preference. It was physically challenging as the bungalow was right at the end of the property(#306)and there were strange noises at night from outside, not that I minded the gecko in the room. Hence I didn’t sleep well for the two nights I was there.
The property looked lovely from outside but it is very dated. Lights didn’t work properly and the room is pretty dim without lights on in the day. TV didn’t work as the batteries were removed from the remote control. Water pressure was very poor while my shower head broke and became detached on the first night . When I informed the reception about the issues on the next morning, there was no apology offered for the inconveniences caused. Instead, they just nodded and started talking in Thai to the others. I found that to be quite disrespectful.
Nevertheless, they did fix some of the issues at some stage.
The service offered by the beachfront restaurant staff were great but most of them could hardly speak or understand basic English. Also they tend to assume that they could keep your change after you’ve paid your bill in cash.
On booking.com site, it stated that there is free shuttle service to Saladan pier and the night market. However, when I clarified, the staff bluntly told me that it’s not free, but at a fee. Please review your description on the site to clarify the facts. I wrote to the resort but no response from them as follow. “Hello I have just checked in to your resort. According to the Booking.
