Sayang 1 Deluxe Beach Bungslow - wow!

We booked last minute/as a cancellation and couldn’t believe our luck that it was for the best Deluxe bungalow ( beach front -Sayang 1). This is the ONLY beachfront bungalow and only one with its own sunbeds! Long Beach & the restaurants along it were lovely.

Our pillows were very hard ( mattress was fine) Had we not had our own sunbeds then the lack of public sunbeds and them all being reserved before 7.30am would have become an issue! ( There are signs saying no reserving or placing towels on before 8am but these were totally ignored/not enforced).

Spacious old-style comfort right on the beach

Slightly dated bungalow but for budget travellers like us still a really nice room. Spacious for 2 people. Daily clean by housekeeping staff very good. 1 minute’s walk from our room into the sea. The resort reataurant was the best food and value we found on the beach. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Hired a motorbike and booked ferry tickets at reception, very easy.

Beware the guests booking up deckchairs with their towels from 7am - some determined older folks out there 😂

Beachfront and the beach being one of the best beaches in Koh Lanta.

Staff’s attitude is inconsistent. They were warm and hospitable towards the Western European guests and yet unfriendly and aloof towards Asian guests. Please remember that as an Asian or any human being, we were raised to treat everyone equally without discrimination of our background or race. When I checked in, I requested if there was a bungalow closer to the beachfront. I do understand that the resort is fully booked but the attitude of the staff was cold and just ignored my request without acknowledging my preference. It was physically challenging as the bungalow was right at the end of the property(#306)and there were strange noises at night from outside, not that I minded the gecko in the room. Hence I didn’t sleep well for the two nights I was there. The property looked lovely from outside but it is very dated. Lights didn’t work properly and the room is pretty dim without lights on in the day. TV didn’t work as the batteries were removed from the remote control. Water pressure was very poor while my shower head broke and became detached on the first night . When I informed the reception about the issues on the next morning, there was no apology offered for the inconveniences caused. Instead, they just nodded and started talking in Thai to the others. I found that to be quite disrespectful. Nevertheless, they did fix some of the issues at some stage. The service offered by the beachfront restaurant staff were great but most of them could hardly speak or understand basic English. Also they tend to assume that they could keep your change after you’ve paid your bill in cash. On booking.com site, it stated that there is free shuttle service to Saladan pier and the night market. However, when I clarified, the staff bluntly told me that it’s not free, but at a fee. Please review your description on the site to clarify the facts. I wrote to the resort but no response from them as follow. “Hello I have just checked in to your resort. According to the Booking.

Great resort, but outdated bungalows

Location, breakfast, friendly staff (helping for transport to the airport, motorbike rental, activities, laundry, …) Restaurant on the beach: delicious fish BBQ Small detail: conditioner in the rooms

A bit overpriced for basic bungalows (a bit outdated, not the best mattress). Our bungalow was in the back of the garden, very quiet in the evening but rooster waking us up at 5am

Amazing find in a secluded spot on a beautiful beach. Comfortable beds, beautiful tropical garden, excellent food and drinks at the beach bar/restaurant. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Boon. We hired a great bike from here, good price. Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent resort with direct access to a perfect long sand beach. Clean large and comfortable bungalows. Perfect friendly personal, first of all, many thanks to Ms. Asma at reception who was always available for any questions and helpful for our wishes. With her help, we were sure about our daily tours and transfer to our next location. Perfect restaurant directly on the beach with friendly professional team, very good food. Very high recommended!

Enjoyed our stay - very relaxing!

Excellent location right on the beach. Beach is beautiful and quiet, a lovely getaway. Rooms were comfortable and clean, though minimalist especially the bathroom. Restaurant was quite good for dinner. Breakfast was average but fine. Overall, the location alone makes it a great place to stay unless you care about a pool!

Give the option to refill reusable water bottles instead of the plastic single-use ones provided.

Great holiday here, the staff here were fantastic and really friendly - we even extended our stay. Quiet end of the beach and close to beach side restaurants and bars. Reasonable price

You need a moped to get to any shops (you can rent one from reception cheaply) The bungalow was a little bit too dark, could do with some more lighting.
