Fort William - Highland holiday home

We had a wonderful stay! One of the biggest highlights was that the house was prepared for check-in nearly two hours before our arrival. Since we were traveling from Oban and reached earlier than expected, this thoughtful gesture made a huge difference and got our trip off to a fantastic start. The location is also very convenient. The public bus stop is right next to the property, making it easy to get around without a car. Waking up to beautiful lake views right from the bedroom window was an absolute treat and made every morning feel special. There's also a SPAR supermarket just a short walk away, followed with an ATM, which was really handy for picking up essentials or withdrawing cash if needed. Overall, this was a comfortable, scenic, and well-located place to stay. We'd be very happy to stay here again!

While the location offers nice views, it's situated uphill and requires about a 20-minute walk. It would have been helpful if this had been mentioned in the property details so guests could plan accordingly. Public buses stop right next to the property, which is convenient, although the service isn't very frequent. Additionally, the boilers were quite noisy at all times, which slightly affected an otherwise pleasant stay.

Problems with TVs

Bathroom sink taps made a loud noise. We took baths because the shower was temperamental. TV not easy to get the channels we wanted.

Beautiful house, clean and well located. Cleaning supplies, towels and bedding and other bits were very welcome. View of the mountains from living room, absolute heaven.

Mainly the lack of hot water. The hot water in kitchen, bathroom basin and bath do not produce hot water, it gets just above stone cold. Thankfully the shower works fine. On a minor note, putting a regular toilet seat on a square shaped toilet means that every single time you sit on it the seat moves, annoying at the best of times but especially at night when the “clunk” wakes everybody up.
